yea 14k sucks big time but its just money.
just a tiny 35 sq foot room. 2 600's and 1 400w veg room. so every 2 months or so we should be good unless i grow out sativas. i got 3 going now that may take 100 days.
i dont sell at all and won't. in my past grows, anytime someone had to know(3 people total,and only because someone had to water while i was away for work) i'd throw then an ounce or 2

2 600W HPS and 1 400W MH is a Golden combo for a perpetual harvest.

I love it and have used many times!

Low profile, and if you know your craft it will give you plenty of Dank!

I recently replaced the 400W MH for a 150W LED unit that seems to do the trick for moms and clones.

NL / Blueberry is a nice, high yielding Indica hybrid that everybody loves and
works great for such small set-ups.

my power bill went up $30 a month, but i haven't run the 400w 24/7 while using the 2 600's 12 hours. that will add about $15

i just chopped a mazar today, will shop the other next week. shortly after that my sssdhxbogglegum, k-train, and super lemon hazes should be ready. then it'll just be 5 sativas left to go the distance

I did some experiments using CFLs to maintain light cycles so the big guns don't have to work all the time. Like running 2 65W CFLs from 6am to 8am; from 8am to 8pm the 400W works and then the CFL retake charge from 8pm till midnight.

For the double 6 room I had a 400W covering 25% of the cycle in a similar fashion.

It works and can save money, specially while "tweaking" exotic Sativa flowerings and such.

I have been following with great interest two relatively new strains. They are
Romulan Diesel and Grapefruit Diesel. Both strains are offered by Next Generation's Golden Seal label.

I think I will give Romulan Diesel a try real soon. Any thoughts or suggestions?

You see, I really like Peak Seeds from BC... $40 a pack (10) shipped and so far the two strains I tested are very well liked. Skunk Berry (SK/BB) and Northern Berry (NL/BB).

OjoRojo420, interested in that LED you're working with. A fellow grower and I recently discussed using LED's for moms. How long has it been since you switched out the other light for the LED's? Did the plants respond differently? Is growth the same, faster, slower?

i had 2 400s in my set up 1 mh 1 hps during 18/6 the mh would be on 12 hrs and the hps 12 the mh ran from 12-12 and hps 6-6 and my plants responded VERY good to the schedule so they would get 6 hrs of just 400 mh ,6 hrs in the middle of 800 mixed spectrum and ended with 6hrs of 400 hps it helpd with heat/power the sat pheno of papaya responded more than the 98 bubba and both where doin BETTER than runnin the 800 all the way same in flower just adjusted the time to fit 12/12 i think it was 8hrs on for each bulb over lappin 4hrs in the middle

if i ever set it up again im deff doing it that way again it was like finding a secret after growin a certan way for years

I am using the 150W unit just before the last:

Plants will take a few days to adapt to the new light spectrum. Growth is somewhat slower but plants seem to stretch less and form wider, thicker leafs. Not bad but I would NEVER dream of using LEDs alone for flowering.
At the same time, I would love to place a 150W led unit between 2 600W HPS vertical style among trees! It seems RED led spectrum increases resin and potency... At least looks like you have a Strip Joint and the girls are ready to lap dance!

Lack of heat and intensity seems to benefit cloning and they just need to be on the side protected by a humidity dome.

I can perfectly keep 2 moms and clones under a single 150w led unit.

Keep in mind that my set-up is usually 2 600W so my clone/mother needs are modest.

Yeap!

Its like daylight... the sun don't just go from 0 to 100% at once. It would piss me off as a plant to be waken up in such an assholish way. Could it cause stress in some Sativas grown indoors... Ummm...

But yes, it works and saves money and stress.

cream, huh? i would agree, i just dont see how some of these guys are still around. i'd understand 15 years ago, before the net when we had to just send money to some addy based on the description you read in a foreign magazine, but now, sheesh.
edit: actually i used prodigy back then, man i got so much crazy illegal stuff sent to the USA back then.
