For a bit, anyway. I started with 6 feminized seed so there was no opportunity to make seed. I have multiple clones of 5 of them and three were head and shoulders above the other two.

I'm really more interested to see how they grow and finish outside vs. the LEDs, but if I can keep a mum or two around I will. I never did build my Mother cab and the way things are going it doesn't look like it's going to happen anytime soon so who knows.

DP I assume that's because those trichs look so clear? Maybe harvest a little later when they're more milky for that nice body high?

CG, this is a Sativa hybrid so I wasn't expecting much body effect, but I am curious about the lack of cloudy trichomes. These were chopped at 90 days. I ran far red lights at lights out and the last two weeks the light cycle was down to 10.5/13.5 so they should have gotten the message that the party was over.

Couple things come to mind:

A) they just need more time to ripen
B) there is not enough red spectrum light in my LEDs
C) combination of A & B

I have clones that I will run outside this fall so I can compare the size, bud structure and ripeness under the sun. if I need more red spectrum light in there, I can either build more COBs or add a 400W HPS in there and that should do the trick.

I built the cab to run really stinky strains like TT and Grapefruit Haze and I definitely want to run some indicas in there and see how they do before I chuck more money at it.

Don't have to do anything for awhile and money is tight right now so I fortunately I don't have to make a quick decision.

Anyone here using DE bulbs? Not the whole Gavita (or epap or nanolux) set up. I use adjust a wing hoods and noticed they now make them for DE bulbs...
Just curious as to any pros/cons. I do know they put out more heat than a SE bulb...

I could be wrong because it was awhile ago i looked at em.... but i thought one thing they said to watch out for with the wings is it creates hotspots\too much light around the edges of the foot print due to the way the wing is shaped and light reflects.

So in a four light setup you would have a "hot cross" (praise jesus!) in the middle. People were getting yellowed out\cooked plants in the middle vs directly under the light.

Again it was awhile ago i looked at this so my brain could be fried

Dont know about the de hps but Ive been testing a 315 cmh in the middle of 4 600hps and those cmh are the shit. Buds seem more oily and the ones closest to the 315 are slightly more compact with denser flowers. Has me wanting to try a whole room of them.

so the 2 Acapulco gold beans just hit dirt and outside they went. i know it's a late start but should get an idea of what the stretch and quality will be for next season. i bet they still get close to 3'

Ill tell you what, the wings give me a hot spot right in the middle of my room with the standard SE bulbs i use. But damn the plants near that spot are noticeably "fuller" so long as i can pull the lights up high enough.
I'm in the middle of a new room construction and it'll have 10' ceilings so I'm 99% sure Ill be running DE's in that room. At least thats the plan...

Here's the Chemdawg drying. My friend who grew it as well (both from fem seed) said it's very Indica and stoney, looking forward to having that contrast the Sativa dominant Kosher Tangie. I see a missed a fan leaf lol. Excited to see how it yields from pressing into Rosin.

Long story short..... The urkle just didn't take to the dwc like I hoped...... Then the other 7 plants snuffed it out..... It did make it, but I mighta got an onion off it....... Super dissapointed.......... I'm just doing away with it for now... I'm running the granddaddy purple, BOG sour bubble, the Ortega and the grape stomper bx X SOUR BUBBLE........and the TRIANGLE TRIP for sure...... Hope the urkle does u better than it did for me!! I'll post some finished pics of it on Thursday for ya!!!
