Many people are allergic to neem. I will use it in Veg as a last resort but I never spray at all once it goes into flower. DE is great for the floors, I'm hydro though so no need to dress plants with it. I have heard of people dusting the plants with it as well but again I wouldn't want to smoke weed dusted with DE any more than with Neem.

No doubt, I neem in veg and stop a week or 2 before flowering. I don't want anything touching the flowers but lots of air. =)

I've found being aggressive with protecting the plants in veg allows me to leave them alone during flower (in a perfect world).

In fact, I've ceased all outdoor gardening around the house just so I don't introduce any bugs to the room. Not worth the chance.

As a clarification, I would never dust the plants themselves with DE. I just top dress the soil itself.

At the end of the day, I'm growing for myself. I want my head stash to be as clean and high quality as I can make it.

As summer comes in, you can really see why Cuban Black Haze does so well in Florida indoors. It's like it's made for the climate. We've got high Temps and high humidity, neither of which bothers the black too much.

Oh, I wish I had the CBH cut!

CBH & Chemdog 91 Skunk VA are my holy grails to grow. Although very different in effects, those are the 2 strongest strains I've ever smoked.

Black Haze is the only weed I've ever smoked harvested 3 weeks early that is still potent as hell.

When it's allowed to go 100+ days, it's incredible. You don't see it as much as Kushmania in the early 2000s took over and strains with much shorter flowering times were chosen. Flavor of the week type shit, unfortunately.

So, as the legend goes the Cuban Black aka Miami Haze is a selected pheno of NL5 x Haze from 1988. The Cubans in South Florida hold this cut EXTREMELY close. There are a good bit of people that have it but it's a very close knit community, just like Chemdog actually.

Legend has it also that on extremely rare occasions someone outside of the inner Cuban circle is gifted a cut, ALWAYS after many years of mutual respect and trust.

I would love to have her.

I've got some seeds with Bandaid Haze #7 (CBH is the mom) in it I'm hoping to pop soon and find a nice hazy pheno in the meantime.

As far as growing the black, it's beautiful. A powerhouse. Basically as soon as clones root, flip to 12/12. It will absolutely overtake a grow room with size.

Loves a ton of light and nutes.

Heat? No problem.

High as hell Florida humidity? No problem.

The buds are made for those conditions and it does so damn well. Takes forever and a day to flower but wow.

Man, I really want to smoke some now...

Hell yeah, brother, that looks like my kind of seed collection!

Lots of good Landrace genetics, hazes.

I bet there's some gold in there.

I'm loving this resurgence in seeds. I grew clone only for years and now I'm doing a pheno hunt from seed and I'm actually really excited to see what comes up.

Now I just more room as I've got too many seeds to pop and not enough space. A good problem to have.

Are you looking for any particular characteristics? I'll have to look into the breeder, those are some great crosses.

HydroOrganicFla,

thanks, this will be my first time running any of his gear but ive been following him for a while and his late running 420 sale was too hard to pass up.

ive went thru a bunch of clones over the years and hold very few of them today b/c im picky as hell. potency is my first criteria when choosing, then how well does it do after ive smoked an oz of it. if it still works w/o having to smoke more it stays....then i like it when the plants still produce good/potent meds when they have a less than perfect flower cycle b/c life happens.

you need to go thru seeds to find the next killer plant and digging thru Landrace strains is exciting to me. I have an Afgan Landrace strain gifted by a friend, Chimtal, from Indian Landrace Exchange that will get popped soon.......it has skunky / foul terps and im hoping to get lucky and find one w/skunk terps. all males and females will be saved to do an open pollination for future digging thru.

Your desired characteristics are the same as mine, right on. It's all about the effects.

Like Willie Nelson said "We didn't smoke it because it was the thing to do, we smoked it because it got you high ".

Makes sense to me.

That Afghan sounds killer, I'd love to sort through a ton of Afghan Landrace myself.

Like many have theorized, I also believe Chemdog has its roots in Afghan Landrace.

I just put some new seeds in paper towels this morning myself, looking forward to seeing what comes up. My first time using feminized seeds.

at least when you're doing an outdoor grow in Florida - or anywhere - it's a temporary escape from Covid19.

hope the tropical storms are kind to your plants !

Hey Hugh, can’t wait to see what you find in those....I picked up a pack of Doc D’s VB S1s but probably won’t get to them for a year.
