Ive been told that if the ph is dead on, the plants will take only what they need, so far now three weeks into bud and we are at 1180 ppm, 1 tsp molassas once a day, ph at 5 8 steady no fluctuating, and every thing looking good so far. anna

i just got flora nova grow and bloom. i'm glad i read this thread as i definately would have burned them abit. i've used lots of different things over the years. i also occasionally use cal mag, thrive alive b1, and liquid karma. i got some AN big bud too. i used to use AN products years ago but i don't like the "Hi, this is for growing pot" crap on the lables.

i ended up with a gall of the grow and the bloom. should last me years. i'll probably throw out half of it because i'm concerned about how long it can be stored. especially as the house gets pretty warm during the summer while i'm at work. ****ing work keeps getting in the way of my hobby! :)

In Vino Veritas

i'm in peat/verm/perlite/lime, I use both FloraNova Bloom, and MaxiCrop Bloom. My tap is a little high on the PPM's..

FloraNovaBloom, 1tsp per gallon of water. I make 6 gallons of this..
MaxiCrop Bloom, 1tsp per gallon of water. I make 6 gallons of this..
I then mix the two in a 20gal res...
Floralicious Bloom, 1tsp per gallon of water. I add this to the 12 gallons of mix..

Sometimes I use just FNB and Floralicious, or just MaxiCrop and Floralicious..

The maxi is 5-15-16, so it helps me cut back on the N and bump up the P-K..

Question for those using promix with Flora Nova.

Are you giving nutes every watering or are you doing it every other watering?

Can someone who uses promix please tell me how much flora nova they use and what their feed schedule is like? aka Fert every time, or every other time. Thanks

Keep in mind that this is a pro-mix and flora nova schedule. I use FN grow throughout the veg cycle. I start my clones out at 1.2 EC and after a few feedings bump em up to 1.4. I feed EVERY watering now. I will give them plain water ONLY when they need it. If I notice any buildup or signs of over ferting I lay off the nutes for one or two waterings. For me, my plants tell me everything. I usually don't have to give plain watering during the veg cycle. Once flowering is induced, I continue using the FN grow for at least a week into flower. After about a week, I use a little bit of FN bloom with the grow. Maybe 1 part bloom for 3 parts grow. During the next week I change the ratio of grow to bloom to make it more bloom and less grow. For this whole time, I make sure that my EC is constantly at 1.6. At the 2 week mark it's all bloom for the duration of the grow. At around the 36 day mark I begin using koolbloom. My EC after just adding the FN bloom is 1.6 and after adding the koolbloom my EC is at 1.8. I only add small amounts of koolbloom as this stuff will burn your plants if not careful. Strain dependent, I cut out the nutes at the end and finish up with molasses water. With the blockhead, I usually cut out the nutes around the 50-55 day mark and follow up with the molasses waterings and usually harvest around 65-67 days. If the triangle, I cut out nutes at 45 days and finish up with molasses til harvest around 57 days or so. At times I do use maxicrop, nitrozyme, or some type of seaweed product. Seems to keep everything extra healthy but it's not imperative. Another thing I don't think I've ever mentioned is that I use diamond nectar for fulvic and humic acids. It really compliments the floranova really well. I'm one of those who has a bunch of different nutes lying around so I also add a little bit of fox farm big bloom to the fn bloom when the nugs really start forming up. Seems to add to the flavors of the herb for sure. I think that's pretty much it in a nutshell. I think that my greatest downfall before was that I was underfeeding my plants. The promix is basically an inert medium. I've found that with more frequent feedings, my plants have responded like never before. I actually have some blockheads vegging out with some whites and the blockheads are actually keeping up. It's kind of weird. Like I'm finding out all over again how hard you can push these plants. That's what I like to do, push em almost to the limit.
