Good stuff Fj, Im lovin your choice on the f13. Have you checked out Mr. Alkaline's thread about the Highland Oaxaca? Very interesting, and it makes me even more excited to see what you have in store for them. Congrats on getting pics up in the POTM for both this month and last. I am surprised your monster blockhead didnt fare so well. Oh well, anyways, keep up the outstanding work. Take care

Can't wait to see how they turn out- Nice choice fj! Iv'e been curious about this strain since i saw that JLP had some amazing results.

I happen to have a book by DJ called- Cultivating Exceptional Cannabis:"an expert breeder shares his secrets" (2003)

And he comments on how the angle of light has an effect on which pheno will be expressed by the plant. Supposedly he has had completely different results from the same cut in different parralells of the world. I happen to find this quite interesting- how would the angle of the light affect smell, taste, potency in a different way using 2 cuts of exact genetics.
As i recall he said at 45 degrees parralell the Flo or (temple flo) had berry, sweet, fruity properties, while at 30 degree (same cut) produced a spicy, hashy, musky taste/smell.

:lurk: :lurk: :lurk: :lurk: :lurk:

Taskenti expresses 2 types of plants - 50 % are normal´s , the other 50% are crazy mutated cripple´s - as bad as it was with the TrueBlue i germed for about a year ... -

I think about getting about 50 taskenti kerns - germing them all and after 14 days i kick out all mutated individuals ~ so about 25 plants to play - its just a guess :chin:
i have to talk to raco about this -

have fun

I agree ^^ This book brings you into depths about breeding that can really work your noodle. I have read many other books by different authors about growing, and they seem to share the "same" knowledge amongst them. But Dj's publishings are always interesting- I found this one at Borders Bookstore about 3 years ago. But i never read it because I wasn't into breeding back then- but i knew someday I would like to produce my own beans for fun's sake. This book goes into detail about- the art of selection, inheritance, backcrossing, selfing, fem seeds,stabalizing,Ibl,etc... as well as a whole section on landrace strains and their natural growth characteristics. He explains how to cut down the flowering time of a sativa by photogenic manipulation- Thats amazing that he can turn a 10 week flower time sativa into a 7-8 week one using the "same" parents- I can list the chapters in this book and if someone is interested in a certain one i would be glad to type it out.

appearance : rock hard , resin covered ,green with purple tips

smell : very unique ,cherry-tart and some strong undescibable smell

taste : the same as smell

effect: i give this herb a full 9.5 its strong to say the least - after the first puff of a bowl - a warm feeling will flow through you body and it will hit hit the short after -
its a full head/body effect which can get very strong -

i hope this little insight helps ;)
