First time grower.... Sort of

First off this website is absolutely fucking spectacular and I have been looking for something like this for a while, whoever started up this beaut of a website, thanks!!

So a friend of mine started getting into a growing about a year and a half ago, and has a pretty decent source of income already and decided to go balls out. Got 2 3x3x6 tents each with a 400w MH ballast and a 6 inch inline exhaust on each that are being used for mothers/veg tents. Also got a 4x4x7 tent with a digital ballast capable of 1000w/600w/400w, an 8 inch inline exhaust for the hood, and another 8 inch exhaust for the tent itself that we have been using for flowering. So my friend isnt able to care for the girls as he was able to before anymore and kinda handed over the reigns to me and i want to change a few things. First i'm only using a 600w in the flower tent, the ballast i have has a sort of power up option that allows it to run at 630w which im doing now. Would it harm the plants if i changed it to 1000w 2 weeks into flowering?
Another thing, i have the capability to supplement Co2 to my flower tent. However, i have had very bad experiences with using it before, i think my friend left the valve open over night once and let all 22lbs of Co2 empty into the tent which ended the flower cycle that night and havent used it since. The temp control module i'm using allows for the Co2 regulator to hook into it so it shuts it off when the exhaust turns on, but it is controlled by a light sensor and i dont have it mounted inside my tent, dont really think i can. Does adding Co2 make a noticable difference if used right? Should i even worry about it?
Currently have some sour queen, and some type of purp that we got from a bag seed and turned into a mother flowering if anyone was interested.
Thanks in advance.

The one on the left is the sour queen with the sour queen mother, and a mother of a random strain of purp and the one on the right is the purp in veg stage

Hey bud glad you are enjoying the site like so many of us do.

As for co2 I find it to be a waste unless your growing environment is dialed in perfectly.

Other than that looks like you got a nice little setup going. Oh and I think you will be fine switching to the 1000watt as long as you can control the temps from it which it sounds like you have that all dialed. If it gets too hot you could always go back to the 600.

Thanks man lot of trial and error involved getting it this evolved. Have done 4 rips and have had nothing that is like mind blowingly good and its kind of getting to me. Spent a decent buck on all this shit, just need to figure out how to use it. Always seems to go haywire for me the last 2-3 weeks of flowering that has stunted growth or killed the crop really want to get it right this time.

I think if you skip the Dutch master and go with organics you will have better results. I almost never use chemicals in dirt because I run into problems there too. When I run them in hydro I have no problems.

Check out some of the organic lines such as general organics or biobizz. I have been using the general organics in fox farm soil with good results. I'm actually thinking about trying out Pure Blend Pro from botanicare just to compare results.

It just so much easier with organics. You don't have to worry about pH or anything. Just mix it up and water them.
