Yes this is what an APBT should look like. The short fat unathletic one's you see on the thug sites is an overbred poor example of a pit, bred only for money.

Well interesting thread I just wanted to ping in to what cptsmokeytx said that all the sites ive seen so far are more like bully's then pitbulls. Me personaly i like the gotti bully's they are what look the best to me, when you talk about a short body with a oversized head that is a razor edge. I would love to give u a recomendation but its like a cannabis strains its all a matter of personal prefrence.

And cause i cant not say something Jack Da Reaper is obviously a simpleton who talks before knowing anything. There is alot of literature out there as well as videos that depict what All pitbull bully breeds are about. There is no such thing as a naturaly mean pitbull just dogs that are doing what they were trained.

If i knew how to post picks i would but just got here not famuliar with the process. But i got my bully from Thebullyhouse His dad is Kano there is a great youtube video of some basic training excercises as well as a look at what a nice looking bully looks like.

Either go to a pitbull rescue, pet finder or craigslist. On craigs list find the nearest big city and adopt someone else's pit. they ask for a rehoming fee, should be no more than 150. Ive seen tons of puppies on CL.

Please do not buy from a filthy backyard breeder. Puppy mills are horrible no matter how well they take care of their dogs, most of which dont. no animal deserves to live in a cage

Sorry, I made a mistake! He's 24 months old (2 years) not 14 mo. lol

I think hes pretty much as big as he's going to get. APBT's reach their full weight at around two years from what I've read.

His coat color is considered as "blue". Many people think it is rare, but it is no more rare than any other color.

Man, we been breeding (and fighting unfortunately) dogs here in the south for a very long time. Dont think for one second that you were looking at second rate blood there. I stroll around any southern ghetto will wake you up to the game quickly. Serious business here. The pup game is just like the dope game here.

So those are fighting dogs? I'd never seen dub magazine before, but the fact that all these celebrities had them and them being on magazine covers made me think that the prices were fluffed by hype. I don't wanna pay for adspace...

I think I specifically said in my original post I don't want an overbred dog. My best friend growing up had a pit that looks similar to the one in your pic, but with a thicker neck and a slightly wider frame... Perfect dog as far as I'm concerned, best disposition in any animal I've ever met.

For some reason this dog however was REALLY territorial, and would kill the fuck out of any other dog or animal if it wasn't on a leash. This dog was run for a few miles every day, had the best life in the world, but for whatever reason hated other animals.

She is only 6 months old is why shes so tiny. But again it shows you have done no research. APBT usually always have dog aggression problems because that's what they were bred for. To fight. Dont go expceting him to love dogs. Responsible pit bull owners dont even leave there own pit bulls together, because if a fight breaks out with nobody home. One of those dogs will be dead.

And no those are not fighting dogs that the jackass posted and they are not APBT, if you like them then please get one, and save the true breed for the few people that are responsible enough to own a APBT.

Although, I must admit I crate the two younger pups of the brood when I go out for any extended periods of time (3+ hours)

You will do yourself a big favor if you get the real thing at first and spare yourself a lot of headaches and vet bills from genetic diseases when breeding for size and color(blue, silver etc) which are just recessive mutations that when inbred or linebred, can cause serious health problems(cancer, heart problems, sleep apnea when too short nosed, blindness, neurological diseases, man biters, hip dysplasia, etc etc etc etc etc etc$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

And if you want a bigger(head, bone etc), more intimidating dog that can also be trained for protection work and be athletic and strong enough to catch a 500lb wild boar, check out the working "standard" American Bulldog(Hines-Scott-Stover lines are the best IMHO.) Stay away from the modern huge "Johnson" lines. Same health problems as the aforementioned bully pits. This is a good forum to find a good working AB,

He's 19 months old now and a little over 90lbs last time at the vet.
He's my big baby, sweet as can be, worries about a lot of stuff.
Barks like the devil himself if anyone approaches the house, big, deep, super scary sounding bark, very intimidating looking when he bows up.
