Congrats on the five ladies :jump:

They are looking good. Big pots sound like a great idea. The bigger the pots, the bigger the buds in my experience.

Does it happen to be a coincidence that your pretty girl down at the bottom is named Jessica?? I think not!

I like Rachael too. I'd like to spread my resin all over her let me tell ya :jerkit:

Peace from the east, and anxiously anticipating some buddage (we should have some similar flower times there. I'm maybe a week if that),

Captains log, star date 11-5-08, sorry its been a while folks been pretty occupied lately. But im giving the people fullybaked) what they (he) want(s).

my last update i said i had 5 females and 1 male my final tally came out to be 9 females 4 males. not bad if i do say so myself. I weeded, no pun intended, out the dudes and heres a shot of what is left. They are currently on day 31 of 12/12.

3 of them are about 3ft. and the rest are somewhere between 1.5-2ft.

Finally got my shipment from hydrowarehouse a few weeks ago and i was able to start giving them nutes which really seem to help them perk up and get a little greener. I ordered some foxfarm: grow big, tiger bloom, and big bloom. Im using the schedule that came with the nutes and it seems to be working nicely. i have to water every day and use nutes every other watering. Also with the shipment came some cloning gel so i took a few clones as seen in the following picture. Each one of them is from a different mother.

Now here are some pics of the ladies.

These 3 are the 3 footers.
(right to left) Jessica, Scarlett, Naomi.

Here are some of the smaller ones
One of them who i call Rachel is turning out better than the rest. Her top is already turning into one big fat cola.

Before i sign off i have to throw this problem out there to anyone who can help me. I have to leave for a week for thanksgiving and currently don't have a plan for watering. I posted a thread in the growroom design and equiptment. heres a link check it out and someone please help me out! thanks in advance.

Bet it smells awfully nice in that room. Keep doing what you're doing buddy.

trouble in paradise.......so unfortunately a hermie made it past my sexing process. a couple of days ago when i was getting up close and personal with the ladies i noticed one of them had a seed pod forming. i was a bit confused because to the best of my knowledge they were all ladies without a dude in sight. i examined more and i found that almost all of them had pods forming, some more than others. upon further evaluation i discovered that one was a hermie. unfortunately i didnt keep a strict eye on them after i found their sexs so i figured it was all good. :fsu: :spank: :cuss: let that be a lesson to all of you out there to keep watching sex throughout most of the flowering process. the one that was the hermie had sacs hidden in the main cola that i didnt see until recently. I chopped her down right away and dry and cured it for a couple days. s/he put out an alright smoke but i didnt expect much out of her. im hoping that the pollenation was minimal and that i will still get a good harvest. im estimating t-minus 12 days till an early xmas.

hey all sorry its been a long time on the update been pretty busy with other stuff and i have been away from home for a while. I was supprised to see that after i returned from thanksgiving vacation that the ladies were still kicking and actually were quite healthy. i reduced the light cycle to an 9hrs light and 15hrs dark and turned down the space heater to keep the room at about 55-60 degrees. Time has been doing them good. I was thinking about pulling them before and i am glad i decided to wait it out. buds definately swelled up and became more resinated. Also a higher percentage of the hairs have turned orange. I dont have any pictures yet but i am working on getting a good camera so bare with me. Before i left i started flushing them. they have been flushing for about 2 weeks now and it is starting to show around the bottom. leaves are starting to yellow up. orginally i didnt think i was gonna get a chance to flush them well do to time constraints but i am glad it worked out to where they actually got flushed for longer i am sure i am going to be rewarded for this. I plan on pulling them this week some time. More pictures within the next couple of days.

Alright finally got a camera with some decent pics. so im just gonna post them all. I got 4 of them coming down tonight so they have enough time to dry and cure before i get home.

First up is Scarlett

Eva

Megan

Jessica

Those ladies are coming down tonight.
Here are the rest.

so far from the 5 ladies i weighed i got 64.5g. A little dissappointed with what the total weight but i lost probably 25% of the weight to seeds. Still waiting on 2 that are drying and one that comes down on wednesday.

Current project:
Well this batch is done and has been a learning expierence. I will be going home for a month starting the 18th. i currently have a clone of scarlett and megan and another one that has been mixed around in the confusion. the clone of scarlett has been topped 2 times and i am currently under the process of lsting her. probably going to bring these home with me. when i come back i plan on building a 4' x '5 enclosure lined with mylar with a 400w MH and a 250w hps. gonna try and go big on less plants and focus my attention in a big harvest. probably gonna do 6 of them in 5 gallon pots. I am probably gonna grow out the 3 clones i have and then another 3 strands that a friend may be giving me.

Signing off for a month, JB

Good work JB! For a learning experience you still pulled some nice weight. It only gets better now, soon you'll be growing six foot trees with buds the size of your head :muahaha:

Keep doing what your doing... otherwise :spank:

Dang sir, you sure had some pretty bag-seed plants! I hope mine turn out so pretty. I have just a few basic forensic questions for you if you don't mind and are still around.

1) What type of nutrients did you use? Did you use anything to help your bloom (I.E.-Big Bud, molasses)?

2) Did you check your trichs before harvest, if so, what color were they and at what percent were they amber compared to clear?

3) Has your experience led you to believe that you waited long enough or could you have increased your weight and effects by waiting longer?

4) Did you monitor temperature?

5) Did you do anything to increase the amount of available cO2?

6) How was your air circulation?

Sorry for all of the questions. I'm currently running my first grow and there is a lot to pay attention to. I've seen a lot of stellar results from all different types of seed. Like you, I'm using bag seed genes. I'll be happy if my grow turns out similar to yours.

Very good work sir, this is an inspiration! Like you, I'm poor. Like you I'm learning.

May the lady bugs share your garden with you! :rasta:

1) I used fox farm grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom.

2) Unfortunately i didnt get a chance to check the trichs with a microscope i kinda just eyed them out. i would say there were probably around 50% cloudy and 50% amber but that is only a guess. definately gotta get a scope for next time.

3)Well i think i might have been able to put off harvest for another 7-10 days but i would say the weight was more directly affected by 1) slight pollenation due to a hermie. 2) needing larger pots. 3) needing a longer veg time.

4) Yes i had a temperature and humidty meter. usually temps ranged from 60-75 degrees with humidty ranging from 40-60%.

5) Didnt worry about increasing CO2 as much since i am growing in an open room.

6) Air circulation i just had a fan blowing on them continuosly

hope that helps you out. keep fighting the good fight

Alright ladies (yet to find a girl that grows) and gents we are back.
After being away from my real grow space for a month it is good to be home.
So whats on the agenda now?

Something old:
well before i went home took 3 clones from some of my bag seed ladies. I believe they are from scarlett, naomi, and the last one i am not sure because i forgot to label it but i think its from marissa. I brought them home with me and now they are almost a month and a half old. 2 of them have been topped a couple times and now are being LSTed. Currently they are under the same 400w hps that i used on the last grow. i have the light on all the time and i plan on switching to 12/12 in 2 weeks. giving them plenty of time to become some monsters.

Something new:
Along with those 3 ladies from before i have obtained some new ones which i actually know what strain they are :woohoo:.

Right now i have clones from:
Holy Grail - rooted and is just getting its start in a classic party cup.
blueberry - still waiting on roots
double strawberry desiel - still waiting on roots

Also i have seeds that are being popped:
Magic Bud
New Purple Power x Hashberry
More Blueberry

I like the variety i have this time.

The plan:
Im sticking with soil again because of ease and frankly i dont the money and dont really feel like trying to set up a hydro system.
Once the seeds are popped and sexed i plan on picking 1 mom from each (maybe some dads as well. gonna try my breeding skills). Whatever is left is going into a mini SOG.Then i plan on cloning the shit out of the moms and then put them in my mini SOG which will be lit by CFLs. The moms will then be thrown in with the other 3 bag ladies.

Ill try to get pictures up when these beans pop.
