If you can fit another inwithout causing temp problems then I say yes and try and put a 2700k in (warm white) it certainly is only going to help.

You shouldn't be cutting anything off except the odd leaf when it gets crowded. Having said that, it's not going to get crowded because the 12/12 from beginning was not a good choice. It never is for a scrog in my opinion. It takes away the control that we have as growers, and having control of things in a micro space is very important.

The general idea of scrogs is that it's a training assistant. Instead of tying strings and wires and shit, you grow it up until it hits the screen, and then keep tucking it under any time it shoots up. Eventually, you will end up with near every grid square with a growth tip under it. Then you flip it 12/12 and everything is at the same level as it goes into flower so most buds tend to all develop at the same pace evenly.

Basically the 12/12 from start has not let you fill in the screen....at all. And now it's basically one cola flowering so you don't get that chance. I would probably use the screen to tie it over to the right as she progresses, to let it really soak up a lot of light. To be honest though, I'd rip the screen out and get your plant close to the light as it's not really serving any purpose and keeping you far away from the lights at the same time.

Here's some pics of my screen this morning to illustrate. I haven't flipped yet.

Hope that helps. :tiphat:

very nice setup you have there i incorporated one or two of your ideas or ideas mentioned by others in this thread into furthur developing my pc case. i was wondering however what your thoughts would be on possibly only using a single light bulb ficture (im trying to make this thing completely off resources i have available to me and just don't have another damn light fixture!) thanks man

Looks like mould to me. Do you still run the fans 24/7? If you don't have one, I would use an internal circulation fan too. What is the relative humidity during lights on, and lights off? Run a dehumidifier in the room it's in if you can.

Yes, I've had just like pic 3 before because I was turning off the circulation fan at nights. It's like it only affects the old tired leaves down low just like you said. Pic 4 looks scary, haven't had that bad. I see the same looking stuff in the forest on old leaves.

Maybe get a damp cotton tip and try rubbing a little, see if it comes off?

All in all she looks pretty nicely fed to me so far. It's hard to tell with the purple stems because sometimes it's genetically purple, but that's the main thing I look for to indicate Phos def, and dark grey/green mottled patches on the leaves, and a sort of wiry, anaemic look. I forget if you said or not but you should be using bloom ferts by now anyway, which will have more P and some other stuff balanced out better for flower.

Edit: you could try DampRid or one of those sort of things but I found them to be useless. 50% isn't even that high so I think you should focus on getting air circulation. I flower up to around 80, 85% fine. Besides good air circulation, I put it down to having large intakes so a bare minimum of negative pressure for my carbon filter to work. Relative humidity and air pressures are intertwined. I think you got intake fans so probably doesn't apply to you though.

Also, I should point out that I've never formally identified it as mould. I just call it that but it could be mildew or something like that maybe.

No worries man, good luck. Sounds pretty bad if it's on the new growth. One thing to mention - if it's any type of mould on the buds then you can't smoke it safely. I think even cooking or hashing it is questionable.

Definitely try to ID it. Do the CSI swab test, lol, and do you have a loupe/scope for judging harvest time? They come in real handy for stuff like this. Ya never know, once you look at it in macro, it could well sprout legs and be a breathing living thing invading your plants. If you haven't already, I would start a thread on the Infirmary with all the details.

Get on it quick because you are still in the okay period for spraying anything on your buds (if you have to). Once the buds are more pronounced, you shouldn't spray anything. I'm totally guessing by this stage but I would leave the leaves on if most of them are affected.

Good work, and good luck :)

how much times does the magnified glass have to see the trichomes?

I used to have a 30x loupe until I lost it. It worked but it was still very hard to see. I finally ordered a new one from ebay a few days ago and I got a 40x with an led light too. I'm thinking that will be my perfect magnification level. I have a 60-100x too but that is really hard to use on the plant.
