Yeah that was my plan i was going to leave them in and add a redder cfl to the center socket. Do you think i should leave the hps on as well? its a 400w hortilux

I wouldn't change anything.........you are doing wonderful!! :woohoo:
Some people use hps throughout the whole grow. But, I've seen some pics in people's posts where they were using both MH & HPS together from seedling to harvest & were elated with the results. Just kick back & letem grow man.
Later you can use the cfl's as side lighting down in the canopy & throw in that redder cfl during flower. Looks like you've got enough space to spread things out. Damn, wish I was you!! :yummy:

Bh I think they are looking pretty good but what do i know lol... They seem to be growing alot better and more uniformly then the big buds.. What do you think. I am eventually going to end up with 2 400 w hps.. how much longer do you think i should let them veg for . . Also transplanting what do you think.. I want to maximize yield i have plenty of space.. how many do you think having 5 girls would be to much for the light to handle. Sorry for all of the questions im just really new to the indoors.

Ive been going really light on ferts. The only feeding they have had is a half strength of fish emulsion with super thrive about a week ago. But the next watering im going to hit them with a full stenghth fox farms grow big feed.

id like to start vegging asap but i do not want to sacrifice quality. But i am kind of impatient the buds you can ever get around here come in a tight ass brick and i would rather not toke up at all:)

Your plants are looking very nice....good job!! :woohoo:
They should really like the addition of the new light as long as you've got plenty of ventilation. And you do have kind of an open area.
It looks like you are using 1 gal. grow bags, is that correct? If so, then you could probably keep the plants in them a little longer. Just find a way to check the roots.....you don't want them to get too rootbound. Then I'd transplant into something between 3 and 5 gal.
It would be best to try and be patient and veg your plants until you see alternating nodes.......that's when the fan leaves are no longer growing out directly across from each other. That's when they should be mature enough to flower & you can switch the lights to 12 hours on & 12 hours off.
It's a good idea to keep it light on the ferts (I've already burned mine a little, sheesh!!) & the Fox Farm Grow Big is fine up untill about a week into flower. Then switch to Tiger Bloom & as always: "keep it light".

So, you're doing just great & good luck to ya........stay safe!!

Right on man.. Do you think i should just use tiger bloom alone all throughout flower. How long do you think itll be before i start to see alternating nodes there 25 days into it.. im on 24/0 right now..Should i put it to 18/6? Also i cannot veg for any longer than 40 days, because im moving into a different place at the end of july . I was thinking of transplanting to 3 gal bags then the final girls will be in 5 gal buckets. what are you working on right now bh?

Very nice Tystick. Your plants look extremely healthy.

Now to your questions.

If you have all of the Fox Farm nutes, I would use the feeding schedule they provide. If you don't have it, I'll post it at the end of this reply.

Unfortunately, I don't know how long it will take until you start to see alternating nodes, because I've only had one grow, and it was from clone, so it's completely different.

As far as the 24/0 or 18/6 question.....oh boy. You will hear many, many different opinions out there about this one. Everyone does something different. Some people swear by 24/0, and always veg that way. Others use 24/0 until 2 weeks prior to flower, and then switch to 18/6 for two weeks, and then 12/12 for flower. Others will use 18/6 all throughout veg. So you can rest assured that any of these light schedules will work. As far as which is better, that's when people get into heated arguments. So........
I only have one grow under my belt. When I started, I used 24/0. I was using clones, so I was very interested in root growth. After two weeks of 24/0, I read that the roots grow more efficiently if the plant is given a dark period, so I switched to 18/6, and finished vegging them under 18/6. I liked the way they grew under the 18/6 better. I thought that I noticed better root growth, but who knows? In my grow, I was attempting to mimic nature somewhat closely. I think that is why I prefer the 18/6 schedule. However, since time is an issue for you, you might want to stick to 24/0. Many growers will tell you that this will speed up the veg process, and common sense would indicate that to be true. It's an extra 4 hours of light per day, 28 per week. That's like an extra day of veg every week. I would stick to 24/0 now, due to your time constraints, and when you have a chance to try 18/6, give that a wack. Chances are you will personally prefer one way over the other. It's all a matter of personal preference. The weed will grow either way.

I finished my girls in 3 gallon grow bags. By the way, aren't grow bags awesome? I friggin swear by them. Anyways, the 3 gallons were plenty for me, but I began flowering at 12 inches, and they finished at about 40 inches. The rule of thumb that I heard was one gallon per foot of vertical growth. Then there's the other rule of thumb about stretching that says whatever height they are when you start flower, they will finish at three times that height. So in my case, I began flower at 1 foot, which meant they would finish at 3 feet, so one gallon per foot meant I needed 3 gallon grow bags. I used the 3 gallon grow bags, and if you look at my pics below, I think you'll agree, they were plenty.

I hope all this helps. Good luck on your grow, and your move. Here's the FF schedule and a few pics of my grow.

I have my own cross that I made last year: BC Kush X Crystal (WWxNL). 2 weeks into flower.....so far so good!
Don't know when you'll see alternating nodes. Haven't had your strain.....perhaps some day though. What I have, started alternating at about 6 weeks or so (not 100% on that) from seed.
A grow guide I read said to go 24/0 for 2 weeks from seed then switch to 18/6 until time to flower. Have never tried 24/0 for a long period but 18/6 has always worked just fine for me. I think the deal in the guide was that the plants need some dark hours to rest. Seem to also remember someone on these boards stating that plants won't grow continuously for 24 straight hours anyway.....but I personally don't know for sure.
Anyway, if you don't see them alternating nodes by 40 days......shit, go 12/12 & flower them girls.......I'm sure you'll be just fine.

Transplant

Transplant

The transplant was a complete success i was surprised because i didnt really know what i was doing. but i waited until they were dry gave them a good watering and a moderate-heavy feeding w/superthrive and they just loved it.. All but one of them grew 2 sets of leaves overnight and about 2 inches i would say to. I also switched the lights over two 18/6. These plants are really starting to stink i woke up and it smelled like a jungle in my house today :yoinks:

Do you all think it would be possible for 1.5# off of 7 of these plants 4 under my hps hortilux and 3 under my standard 400w hps. Flower in about a week i have plenty of ventalation and a good nutrient program

Not an expert on yields but, 1.5#s seems like a lot....maybe if you vegged them for long enough you could get up there.
Have you sexed your plants yet? They should be getting just about old enough to preflower by now I would think. Need to know how many females you have before musing about yields. :yummy:
