First IC Grow Underway

I finally got an OP up and running. Real estate has been slow in my area, and my house hasnt sold. But a life long friend offered his closet for a joint-op.

Let me break it down for yah'

Strains:
4 NYCDxC99 JLP
3 Romberry x Peak 19 Marksurfs
5 Cali-O x Peak 19 Marksurfs
3 Yeah-Yo Chron- Local bag seed

Germinated: 8/12/04
Planted: 8/13/04-8/14/04

Closet: All guestimate, but its about 2-3 ft, 4-5ft.

Lighting:
Veg: There currently under 255 watts of flourou shop light, with a oscilating fan blowing on them. As soon as we have our blower hooked, we will roll a 400 watt HPS for veg. Were considering on adding another 400 watter to the closet for flowering.

Ventilation: 465 Dayton Blower- damn can this can beutie suck.

Soil: Outside in the texas sun we have sitting and composting a sick organic mix.

65% Promix-Aerate Plus
35% Perlite
Myzchaezl (sp?) bacteria
11-13-3 Peruvian Sea Bird Gauno
Dolemitic Lime

Ill take some pics of the closet, equipment, and the lil' ones asap.

Well veg under the flourous for a couple of weeks, then transplant them into the soil, as we hit them with the HID.

CCE- Ive grown four crops over 5 year period. Ive only really gone serious this last year or two.

BB- She is very quiet. The motor is mounted onto the fan with rubber gaskets. I would say if an Inline 465 was a 1, she would be a 3. You cant really hear her with the door closed. Dayton make quality fans.

Highrider- I grew out some Matunuska, and if im not mistaken, Matunuska is (p19 x stonehedge). I really enjoyed the Matunuska smoke. Im hoping the P19 will give the needed whack behind the Romberry and OB taste factors.

What are those PVC pipes doing? They look like you either have them set up for intake, or exhaust. Anyways, sure looks cool!

Quite an impressive looking seedlings you have! Great work this far. I'm particulary interested to see how the NYCDxC99 plants will grow, supposedly an excellent strain!

And about the lightning issue, if you closet is 3x5 feet, you have 26,7 watts/square feet with 400 watt light. Your plant will grow with that much of light, but they may stretch a lot and yield would be dissapointing. If the closet is 2x4 feet, you have 50 watts/square foot, which is enough for excellent growth, not optimal tough (optimal is 55 watts/square foot). If your closet is larger than 2x4 feet, I would add an another 400 watt light to get a maximum light coverage and yield from your ínteresting strains!

By the way it's officially a second day of autumn today. Hopefully it won't be as bad as this summer was (not much hope here in Finland tough, cold, cloudy and rainy almost every day , had to move my outdoor Lowryders indoors a few weeks ago). Now they are doing fine under 152w of CF light in 30x60x100cm box. Harvest will be soon, about five days from now.

Small update- The plants didnt fair to well in the new mix. Im going to transplant them out of there and dilute the mixture I think its a lil on the hot side, ive never been used to compressed pellet guano, i think it threw off my measurements Ill put them into straight up Pro Mix with perlite in it, and then suplement with tea once they recover.

Joemutt1978- you nailed it, there my intakes

Hemppo- Im only veggin them under 400 hps, plus the flouros. I plan on adding another 400 for flowering.

A local friend of mine is goin to pass on some G13xHaze (3 phenos) and hopefully a WW clone aswell.

Ahh.... After much thinking i decided to scrap the seedlings and start anew. I added more Pro-Mix and Perlite to the mix. Ill get a PH meter soon, and test the runoff.


Well the new line up to replace these dead heroes are:

4- Black Chunk via CBF (Black Domina x Deep Chunk)
4- Arts Blend via PWN
5- Heaven X Ultimate Moonshine via JLP (some are inmature, well see how many germ)
3- Romberry x P19 via marksurfs
2- Orange Bud x P19 via marksurfs

I placed them in water earlier.
