sproutco Thanks again buddy
I won't repot then but will water twice instead of once in the 12 hours of light.
Tommorow I am picking up ferts and rooting hormone, I'll make 2 clones with your plans ; see how that goes.

Also, tommorow I will ba making big permanent holes in my closet I reckon the plan where the 6" vent is at the bottom of the closet and two small outtakes at the top will do.

Watering twice a day, if I understand you correctly, is way too much probably. You want to let the soil dry out some before you water. My plants, for example, started out at every 4 days needing water. I let them go to slight wilting/"dog ear" once to find out how long this took. After that, I knew if I didn't water them after 4 days what would happen. (this assumes the enviroment is constant with no dramatic temperature changes from day to day) As the plants grew and become rootbound, they began to slightly wilt before 4 days. So, I watered every 3 days. Then in time, every other day. Watch the plants very closely for water stress and you can get a feel for timing. With soilless mixes, the pot will get lighter when water needs to be added. Also the color will sometimes get lighter. Keeping plants too wet will slow growth and cause root rot from fungus like pythium.

Your potting soil should contain dolomite lime to adjust the ph and buffer changes from your applying acidic fertilizer. This lime supplies calcium and magnesium. Your liquid fertilizer should contain nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sulfur, iron, manganese, zinc, copper, boron, and molybdenum. If your soil contains no dol. lime, you should add 1/4 teaspoon powdered gypsum + 1/4 teaspoon epsom salts per gallon of water along with the regular fertilizer everytime. This would add the cal/mag plus some sulfur. Even with dolomite lime in the soil, cal/mag levels often run low. So every third or fourth time I apply the regular fertilizer, I add the epsom/gypsum at this low rate along with it. Cal/mag can not be over applied.

Important...You should be adjusting your water plus fertilizer to about 5.8 ph You would use an acid or base to do this. http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=31294&highlight=sulfuric+acid

sproutco :
I will study her needs more carefully , but I do know that for about 2 weeks now I really must water her every night, And even then she looks like she really needs it if it's a bit late at night.
... Which makes me think she is Very seriously rootbound - How bad is that for final outcome and how big of a shock is to repot?
Size reminder :

Also - I wrote down every thing I need and planning to get all the proper nutes and testers tommorow noon.
I'm Very excited to learn so much Thanks alot for your help and paitence :)

If your having to water everyday, then maybe it is time to repot to one size larger. Then it might be only once every two days or something for a while having to water. Watering everyday is a good sign that the plant is pretty rootbound. Everyday watering can get on your nerves.

Shopping ! :woohoo:

Ph down
Rooting powder
Bio Grow - 8.0-2.0-6.0
Alg-A-Mic - 0.1-0.1-0.1
Bio Bloom - 2.0-6.0-3.6
Top Max - 0.1 - 0.1 - 0.1
And lots of really reflective foil.

Also I had my old Fish mix 6.0-2.0-4.0

I am working by Bio-Bizz's Table of watering and all seems covered
But I could not find these on the back of any fert :
sulfur, iron, manganese, zinc, copper, boron, and molybdenum
Possible or am I missing something?

Also, My soil contains no dol. lime And to my surprise the salesman didn't know what either powdered gypsum or epsom salts are
Seems like he doesn't know his stuff..

What am I missing except for the salt and gypsom which i'll try to find at other places.

Thanks !

Ok Iv'e made my first mixture of nutes and it's ready to go.
I used mineral water with 1-2ml of each nute (By thier table) And tested the Ph
It's 7.0
Does that mean the soil will also have a Ph of 7.0 ?
Should I add a little Ph down to the mix ?

big thanks

Epsom salts(magnesium sulfate) you can get at the drug store. Gypsum (calcium sulfate) you should be able to get at a garden center. Call around. It is possible that your fert. has the micronutrients iron, manganese, zinc, copper, boron and molybdenum but did not list them. Sulfur you will get when you use the epsom/gypsum because these are both sulfates. If any of the regular ferts. has cal/mag you don't need to add the epsom/gypsum. Ph of your fertilizer water should be 5.6-6.2 The soil ph, if different, will gradually go toward your water ph. It may not happen immedietaly. You can find your soil ph easily by the pour through method. After watering/fertilizing, apply maybe 100 mililiters of distilled water to the top of the pot till runoff occurs. Catch the runoff from the drain holes and test ph. This will give you some idea of the soil ph.

Thanks guys !
Iv'e repotted and fed her real good :)
even sprayed with alg-a-mic she looks quite happy
also foiled the place
Now my worry is to
1. drill a hole for the vent since the door still has to be cracked open
2. Tie her down effictivly now so that i have room to end the flowering - Im really running out of space about 2-3" left to raise the hps and im only at week 2 flowering, no buds yet even. Tying her down with simple strings downwards is not harming her right ?

Peace !

Foiled the place? Don't use tinfoil for reflection. You could use emergency blankets from walmart. I use white plastic garbage bags pinned to the wall. White paint also would work. Make sure nothing is loose and can fall and catch fire. Tying down will not harm the plant just don't break a stem.

:joint:
It's not tin foil not even metal , the plant-shop man sold me some highly reflective material, works great, and It's all very secure.

My lady looks happy with her new ferts and pot, haven't watered last night and the soil was still moist.
Hope she won't be rootbound any more.

Two quick questions !

Is she expected to grow upwards alot during flowering ? (Running out of room !)

Is it ok that the bottom of the plant has a shoot that is dying/drying up and some weak looking leafs ? - kinda not being able to hold them selfs.

Thanks alot everyone !

droopy

droopy

I Have a problem :badday:

Didn't realise how important it was to water the new soil before transplants.
Iv'e given them a good watering after the transplant was done and hoped for the best.
Now the tops of my lady are drooping and I have noticed no water has come out of the drain holes also the pot is heavy with water.

Do I just wait ? or is there something I can do ?

Thanks guys
And sorry for the rain of questions, just that you internet buddies are the only ones that know about this, and I sometimes panic :joint:

Oh yea and Iv'e decided I am in Dire need of good genes and will be placing an order tonight.
NLxHaze Is my first choice, read good things about it here. You reccomend ?

Also do they ship it descretly ? in a airbubble bag or ... ?

big thanks
