First grow issue

Hey guys this is my first post to this awesome site other than my intro. I have a couple of test plants going right now as my first run and they were just a few seeds I popped up and they happened to be auto flowering plants. I put them on the floor under a 600 hps on 12/12 and with in the first week I had leaves curling and yellowing. I have heard that I need to check my ph level and a few other tips like flushing the plants and backing off nutes. I trimmed of the dead crisp leaves and flushed them with 3 gallons of water and re fed them with a mild nute solution. Im still noticing yellowing on the leaves but the bud growth seems rather well. What in your experience can cause this issue. Should I buy a ph tester. I let my water sit with no lid for 24 hours before I feed. Im just lost on what this issue is. I thought I waited to long to water at first but now im sure thats not the issue. Thanks for reading this and for any help in advance.

I have Fox Farm grow big and tiger bloom as well as carboload from advanced nutrients

I was giving the the 3 tsp per gallon in veg for general feeding and put them on the 12/12 with just water for first 2 weeks and then I did 3 tsp per gallon and a spit of carboload. I just bought a ph meter im gonna try and figure it out tomorrow. Its hard to get pics but I will try. The leaves and yellow spots and a lot burned up already and I pruned them away

I have since backed off the 3 tsp to 1 1/2 tsp per gallon in my veg room with every other waterng being plain water and in the flower room im doing 1 1/2 tsp every other watering being plain with a splash of carboload. I think there was a lot of build up so I flushed them as well. Also using bloombastic for the last week have not seen a change just more spots I think either they are really hurt from the ph or I just way over fert and now they are just what they are. Im trying to figure this all out and im having fun learning. Thx for all the replies guys

Hi,

I read your posts and it reminded me of a buddies first grow.

He sprouted seeds for kicks, then tried to really do something with em. He vegged them like you did - first couple weeks just water. Then he got himself some nutes and went to town. Unfortunately he over-nuted right away - so these poor plants that had been surviving just fine were just hammered. He flushed em out twice I think (in a one week period) before returning to 1/4 strength. But only every other watering. A week or so later and it was okay.

I'd flush the shit out of em. Let them use most of the water in the soil and then give them water on an as needed basis for a week. Then return to 1/4 strength every other watering for at least a week - check for burnt tips. Increase nute dosage if no burn tips and if you think the plant NEEDS it. Also careful not to overwater!

How often do you water plants in 5 gallon talls in flowering. Thanks for all the advice I did flush them once and have switched to a lowers nutes and feed every other water. I just have been waiting till the pot look a bit dry and feel light then I give them a gallon. I also sprayed the leaves with a bit of silica mixed with water to help. I bought a ph meter and have been adding to get my ph to 6
