Day 68 pics

Day 68 pics

Ok pics, to start with the Blue Widow. All 4 'tops' are shown. They seem like the most developed of the buds on the plant and indeed of all 3 of my plants.
I'm thinking of harvesting one of them. Maybe 2 of them tomorrow if they look ready enough.

What do you think?

What's throwing me is that they are still pushing out white pistils which I've been told is a sign of immaturity. Also the pistils have not shrunk in as much as they can.

Also the tric's are only occasionally ambering and even clear in quite a few places.
Funny really. Today almost flushed it out but changed my mind at last moment. Still needs a little more time I think. May try taking the most developed top in the next few days so I'll have a nice bud of this stuff for 4-20

when you identify the ones you think are ready then start giving them plain water and harvest in a week or 2. if its amber in places then it's prolly done there will always be some clear and some cloudy. what you are looking for is the majority. if its majority cloudy and some amber, it's safe to say its ready. majority cloudy to majority amber is the harvest window. most of the pistils should already be dried out and receding by that point too.

Hi Reg Dixon!

Looking very good matey. mrgrowmez and stihgnobevoli had it right. Only way to truly know when to chop is by inspecting your girls under a microscope. Then it's just a matter of what you want in the high.

A higher percentage of clear resin glands will lead to a racing, soaring high. The longer you leave her the more the trichomes degrade, turn to amber colour and lead to a heavier, full body stone. Pistil colours are really only a rule of thumb. Good luck!

Very nice Reg!! Well done. Nothing tastes as good as your own.

Many thanks pal and it is true. I've been smoking some of my 'test cure' buds and they are wonderful (to me).

So was in the cab today having a look at my

Northern Lights Auto by G13 Labs. Grown from seed under CFL's in hot conditions in coco/soil/perlite/verm mix.

Pics taken day 70 flower.

Don't know about autos, but have run Critical+ several times and it finishes fast. Seven weeks and it's done. Don't know why you would want 50% amber. You do realize that amber means the THC has been oxygenated, ie, destroyed?
Why bother getting a strain with high THC if you are going to destroy the THC?
Your plants have been done for awhile.

Northern Lights auto - ready or not? How long left?

Northern Lights auto - ready or not? How long left?

So my Critical + auto has been harvested and smoked.
My Blue Widow has had its tops chopped, dried and curing....

I have Northern Lights auto and Tangerine Dream now on the sidelines. The TD is starting to turn into a nightmare. Possible reveg due to me trying a new nute (solid food tablet) so far into flower.

Pics of the Northern Lights auto now which is starting to look to being close to being ready. Tric's are there but very small. Mostly clear/cloudy. Pistils are mostly white but beginning to turn in places.

pics...
