I should have posted this earlier.
side lighting in my C30 veg cab. I could not get the whole thing in the pic because it was showing a reflection of me taking the pic. There is a sunlight supply 2 ft 4 bulb T-5 light from the top.

It's just a flat piece 1/8" T-6061 aluminum I had left over from intercooler end tank fab project. I first measured and pre-mounted the T-8 light clips. then took it apart and used a electric hand buffer to polish the hell out of it. reinstalled everything with the ballast on the backside and bam cheap home made light fixture.

Aah that's great. I looked into T5 T12 etc clips but didn't give it too much actual consideration since the plan is HID soon, but I definitely want to build something like that for clones/early veg.

I need tools, desperately. Don't even have a drill.

Finally decided 1 piece of panda was the easiest/best solution.

Added some new nutes.
Future Harvest Development Prop-O-Gator 0-3-2 and Super B+ 0-2-1. Also got a free sample of Dyna-Gro Pro-TeKt 0-0-3 which I think will help them a lot since most of them are undergoing some sort of high or low stress training.

I accidentally broke off the top of one of the new Pure Kush clones so I just cut it completely off right above the new top node. Works out since I was planning on doing it anyway, just wanted to wait until she was transplanted to a 3gal.

The 2 Fire OGs are at day 14 of veg now and are doing great. One is undergoing LST and responding well and the other I also accidentally topped. She grew real fast one morning and got too close to the lights and the entire top node burned. I cut it off and it was the best thing that coulda happened to her.

Hey bro I think i have a couple ideas for a new safer reflector that are cheap too, at least till you get that HID cause the other guys are right better safe than sorry. If you have an old computer case you can gut it just like my clone box you can see on my thread and either paint it white or line it with mylar and drill a couple holes in it and rig those Y connectors to it. Another idea i have is to use a small plastic rubbermaid container for food like a 2 gallon with white paint/mylar on the inside. Obviously it can be lit on fire, but cfls wont do that and obviously thicker is better. Just trying to prevent a fire here that would suck if you came home and your fire OG gens are ruined.

Got a 600 Watt HPS last night.

Transplanted the 3 Pure Kush to 5gal pots. I didn't take a picture, but after only 6 days, the roots had gotten to the edges/bottom and started crisscrossing back and forth. As someone who has never ever done any work with plants, it seems so crazy to me that they grow this quickly.

I spotted some white dots on the top of one of the new leaves on a PK Clone, checked the underside and saw more little white dots. I assume they are spider mite egg sacs so I applied a 25% diluted Neem Oil solution to most of the leaves (underside included) in that area and a little on the leaves that were closest on other plants. I'm gonna foliar spray them all tonight, I didn't have any dechlorinated water last night and wanted to at least get the worst area.

Anyone have thoughts on adding weekly neem oil foliar spray as a preventative? Also possibly add a couple other beneficial nutes to the spray.

I recently started preparing for my upcoming 4k watt grow. Got everything I need except the subpanel/relay box.

Used some of the new equipment to properly vent and cool the lights/space.

Also added 2 Pure Kush clones and 8 Pre-98 Bubbas in preparation for the new space. It will be 30 plants under the 3 1k lights, not including the original 5 I started with the first week, they will flower under the 600.

The plan is to veg as long as I can in this space which is just about 5 more weeks, and then flower everything in the new space. I'll have to figure out how to start vegging more when these flower, probably a couple cheap used 600 watt MHs or a buncha T5s... I dunno.

Little update:

things are really filling in. I trimmed off any lower growths that weren't getting much light, and it couldn't have paid off more.

I'm planning on flipping all 15 over to flower tomorrow under the 600 and setting up a 1k to veg 30-40 new cuttings until I move into the new space in 3 weeks. Once I'm in the new space, everything will continue to flower out under about 3k watts along with the 30-40 new cuttings that'll have vegged for about 2 weeks. During that time I'll have to figure out how to veg even more cuttings to keep the 3k watt flower power supplied. I figure the 600 HPS, 300 watts total CFL and 280 watts floro will do for vegging temporarily.



The 2 original Fire OGs are doin' real well. Vegged 40 days.

The one that was accidentally topped via CFL burn is the best 'clone 2'

and the other Fire OG that I LSTd for the majority of it's veg.

aah, no photo, but I took my first 6 cuttings and all of them are doing well.

I moved into a new space and am halfway through building a new 8k watt flipflop, 4k in a panda tent in this garage and another in a bedroom above it (for ventilation/electrical reasons.)

Gonna be running Sunshine Mix #4, what's the right forum to post in? Soil? Hydro? Coco?
