the dirty formula is just that .... dirty . its formulated for soil & is a nasty mix in a rez ! it leaves all kinds of sediment in the bottom . best to mix & use as you need it in a 5 gallon bucket or the like .
the original formulas .... hard & soft versions can be used in/on any medium . hydro , coco & dirt . its a cleaner mix & is good in a drip fed system .
they're all pretty much PH stable .

I mix dirty 25g at a time in my 55g drum.. I use a recirculating pump to pump from the bottom to the top creating a Nutrient fall:D. The sump pump turns on 10 min before feeding to mix it all up well. Its not bad if u keep it moving well. If u let the sediment fall out of suspension it will coat the rez. I haven't seen anyone using soft/hard in soil.

I feed using 4 5gal buckets one at a time using a 1gal milk jug to dispense it. I’m thinking of getting a lil water pump to place in the bottom and use a hose to feed individual. I have most of my plants in 5 gal buckets. So the small pump seems like it will work great. Does anybody use one and could refer a good model to get. I’d really appreciate it

It would be much easier to mix it all in a drum. Most grow stores have drums at 25$ for a 55g. Mix up what u need for the week. Get a irrigation pump 15' garden hose with a dram wand ur good to go. Most good pumps will not be cheap. I got lucky founding it on Amazon with the price marked wrong. A few of us got them for 180$ for a 400$ pump.

I have some drums I keep deer corn in. I think I have an empty one too! That’s exactly what I’ll do. Dang, y’all scored on those pumps. Maybe I can find a smaller one. I’m only 22 in flower right now. I bet attwoods has some pumps. I’ll check tomorrow. That way I’ll be ready by the time the dirty gets here. Thanks so much Hammer! You’ve been a huge help, along with many others on here. I appreciate it a lot

I am to right now Grizz with all our expenses! Lol
What brand is that $30 pump? I’ve never ordered one. Do you have to specify a male end to thread the garden hose into or do you have to cut it and thread it on and tighten with pipe tie? I already started cleaning the corn residue out of the barrel and have been looking on amazon, I’m just not sure which I need. Since My room isn’t huge and shouldn’t take to much psi

Hammer, Grizz,
I also ordered an amino acid to go with it called big swell. I gta read more and see if I still use the molasses with it . Have anyone here ever used it and had good results. I saw it when I was getting some new plant trainers, gnat nix, smart 7 gal pots, a NEW extra Trimmer, lol and plant Id tags. Hopefully it’ll work as advertised.

Pump

Pump

Here’s the water sump pump I ordered. It was like $57 comes with hose and attachments. I bought a 4 year warranty for $2.30. So I think it was a good buy. I’m sure it won’t pump near as good as yalls. But I don’t feed near as many. So we’ll see

Really? Dang. I’m going to try and cancel it I guess. And get a stronger one. How much pressure does yours have being 1/6 hp

Do you need any other parts with the one like you got? Other than water hose. How do you like it

I really like mine. It comes with everything you need, hose attachment and all. The box it comes in even says for hydroponic use. The pressure is just right, imo. If you are gonna use a watering wand, just make sure you get a Dramm brand wand. Otherwise, you'll be doing more fighting than watering with the other brands.

Also, I would suggest getting a Dramm red head 1000. Someone suggested that to me that I get one when I was asking the same questions you are. No way I can see myself using the wand without one now. They are great....lot better than the 400 that comes with the Dramm wand. Shout out to Trich Tyson for giving me that advice. :tiphat:

I’m taking your word for it cuz. Just cancelled thst other and ordered it. What does that redhead 1000 not get clogged up as much. I figured since I’m abt to start using that dirty mix I might need it.

The 1000 is just gentle on the soil when watering. Not sure how it would work with the dirty v&b. The holes on it are super small. I'm running Pure Blend Pro and Calmag thru mine. Not much sediment or anything in that. If you can get Hammer's attention, I bet he would know if the 1000 would work with it. I imagine it would though. I always rinse mine under the tap real well after every use anyway. I run a pretty clean grow. I'm probably cleaning about 20% of the time I'm at my grow. Must be cannabis OCD! Lol

Here’s the cuts I started the other day and a bruce banner 3 cut, is that normal leaf structure? Or in flower grows crazy like that too.
Oh Vanilla I went ahead and bought one like yours. Don’t want to have it get here and not work. Thanks
