Well, this mourning Fiona is back to running full speed around the house playing with her sister. It seems whatever was keeping her down for the last week has passed!!!! The only thing left is she has uncontrollable liquid poop, nasty. This has happened once before with her due to a reaction to another med the vets had given her. We had to put a diaper on her for a week, how humiliating. I hope my weekend doesn't get any "shittier" but I am glad my baby is back to normal.

Thank you everybody for showing support for my family and I. My dogs mean the world to me and I am touched by how much everybody here cares as well. Have a good Sunday everybody, peace.

Crappy pic but you guys get the idea. The pack of diapers was 7 bucks, but if she had a tail we would have had to buy the doggy diapers at 15$ a pack, hehe.

Thanks everybody for the good words. Fiona is still having liquid poop everywhere but is acting 100% better. My vet told me to give her some Imodium (sp) for her poops so hope that helps soon. Still have no idea what it could be, but Trichy send me a link about a Hilton that had a similar problem with her dog. The article said the dog ate gum and this can be a major problem, can cause death. Sometimes I chew gum and I even think there was gum in the garbage when she ate threw it. Good call Trichy! Still not sure, but beats any other guess, and I will get rid of all gum from here on out.

This is the first thing I thought. I just harvested an indoor grow and I am transplanting 50 beans to 2gal in the last couple of weeks. Fiona fully takes advantage and will graze on any nugs or leaves that fall to the floor. She has been doing this since she was a year and a half and never had any issues. I didn't have any pot food she could get into. I just made BHO pills but I know I was careful with that and placed all pills in bottles and then the freezer. This theory is still one of the top, but I think Trichy might have the answer. All things to watch out for.

A tablespoon of canned pumpkin (plain, not the pie filling - it has sugar in it) will help firm things up. Don't get carried away, it will go the other way if you give them too much. Good luck!

"Recently, Kelly Osbourne tweeted about her Pomeranian, Sid, suffering toxic effects from consumption of sugarless chewing gum. After Sid got sick, she tweeted this PSA:

'EVERYONE keep gum away from your dogs Sid just 8 half a pack and almost died! Thank god I got him to the vet on time!'

ater that night, Osbourne gave us this optimistic update:

Finally home with Sid thank god! tonight made me realize just how much i really love my little boy thank you so much TLC vet for saving him! Sat here watching Sid sleeping as i am to scared to fall asleep just in case he starts getting sick again! how do i love this dog so much?

Teddy Hilton's very own celebrity vet Patrick Mahaney, sad this is a very common, and tragic occurrence. He told us that consumption of only a few pieces of sugarless gum can cause your dog to get very sick. The blood sugar level rapidly drops, causing hypoglycemia with clinical signs of ataxia (stumbling around) and weakness.

Additional symptoms of Xylitol toxicity include (but are not limited to):
Lethargy, Vomiting (Emesis), Diarrhea and Seizures.

If untreated, Xylitol toxicity can also lead to liver failure, blood clotting abnormalities, and death. (SOOO SAD!)

If you suspect your dog has consumed a toxin, call your veterinarian and the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center ((888) 426-4435) to start a case file with a board certified veterinary toxicologist."
