I have been storing my pot in the freezer for many years. Haven't actually cured or dried it in the freezer, though. But I compress my buds after they are almost dry, then vacuum seal, then into the freezer, which is at -40C. My buds are as good as the day they went in , I still have some from 2015 that seems as fresh as when I put it in there!
I am thinking about getting a freeze dryer machine now, as I was watching a video where the researchers found that freeze dried bud preserves all the cannabinoids and terps better than any other method!
I do the same. I don't cure as I like fresh weed but I vacuum pack and freeze and it keeps that fresh taste. I hate old weed that's been kept in a jar curing for months. I've only bothered curing my weed a few times in my life and that was years ago. I stopped because I didn't find any benefit to allowing the terpenes to degrade. I prefer my weed right after it's been dried properly. Storing it vacuum packed in the freezer maintains the freshness that I like.
I know some people are adamant about curing their weed. Monitoring humidity, and playing with it for months. I'm not one of those people. Chop, trim, dry, smoke. The fresher the better as far as I'm concerned.
