YUGO's made in Yugoslavia....I had returned to school and bought it to travel to and from school daily cheaply....Big mistake and lucky I was not killed then. 2 bad accidents in my life and makes me cautious buying safety.....especially with children in my car.

Don't see any old Yugo's on the road these days....

If it can't hold 2 carseats, then I can't drive it!

That is the problem currently as I have 2 car seats in my toyota for the grandkids and can't go to a 2 seater totally anytime soon.

But my daily babysitting will end in 2012 AND I WILL FINALLY BE FREEE AT LAST!!!! But I do so love the little tykes!

Unless it gets 10 miles to the gallon (guzzles gas) and pollutes the air 10 times more than any other vehicle, and compensates for my small penis, I am not interested.

They are quoting a price of £4000 for Europe, apparently the basic version is a death trap and doesn't meet EU standards so has to have extras fitted to make it legal enough. First car i've seen this decade that has optional extra air bag for the Driver!

They have also cut many corners on things like wing mirrors, there is only one. This and other things is also said to have insurance companies considering raising it's class and therefore premiums. I guess if you walk past one it's gonna break and need insurance to pay out!

Might be a bit of a nonstarter really.

Well, China is a communist state, where you have to throw away your female babies, cause you are only allowed one. Everyone lives in poverty, and they are ruining our Earth.

India is on the same path with their contribution to environmental damage. You can drive 997tt Porsche through Calcutta, and the exhaust coming out of the tailpipe is cleaner than the air going in...

Zing!

I will go ahead and say that the American car market is a joke... J-O-K-E. I think it's just that Americans need big fat cars to fit their big fat selves in heh, or compensate for the obvious (generally speaking here dont kill me Americanos)

I am like any other car enthusiast in that a roaring V8 does make me jizz a little, but I think the fun of going real fast in a straight line wears off real quick...

Everyone can take their 3000+ lb v8's and what not dream cars and I will leave you eating 4-banger exhaust fumes in this ...

0-60 time, 4 seconds flat, and will beat everything in its price range 'round a track... for around 65k I think

or if you want a poor man's lotus, you can go with one of these:
Hardtop01.JPG

With a bit of worksmanship you've got yourself an Exige eater :) for less than an Exige... and you get to dust cars that are 3, 4, or 5 times more expensive at a track day... Or you could go make a mockery of all the v6s, v8s, v10s at a place like Deal's Gap

Or if you really want to make people feel stupid...

Just get/build yourself one of these and call it a day:

I love all cars that are made to be driven, but I sincerely love with all my heart eating 40K+ cars in my MR2 :noway:

I really enjoy seeing cars like the ones in the OP... I think they're a wonderful idea, and for better or for worse, the future of the car industry. Smaller, more efficient, more eco-minded...And there's going to be insane amounts of money made by the companies, like Tesla, that figure out a way to combine those features with performance. Like it or not, that's the future. Ask the big 3 if large automobiles were working out for them...

And I realize my post has been performance oriented with little consideration given to practicality. But what's practical for one may not be for another so that is a whole other discussion for a whole other thread...

Is that the briefcase version? Will this come in a full-scale model?

One thing we've found out in this new world order...

Green cars aren't selling in America. Detroit is looking for a massive tax increase on gasoline so that green cars can be forced upon America. The sick thing about this is that the White House will probably do it and we'll be paying $4.00 a gallon again for gas.

Hope your $8 a week stimulus covers it.

Damn a man that admits he has a small penis.....how refreshing darlin'

But the size don't matter if a man knows what he is doin'

But I do believe that cars are an extension of some mens penile size wishes.

Size matters. It all matters. When it comes to sex it all matters. I don't drive so the whole car penis gig is lost on me. I must be the man of no known penis or a very low mileage model or something.

Are you joking? Do you have any factual information to base this on or are you letting your opinions get in the way?

Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Camry, Toyota Prius... these are some of the "greenest" cars in the US market, and they happen to be among THE most popular!! I'm not sure what exactly you're talking about with the government forcing us to buy things... but the US government (as much as I dislike it) had no hand whatsoever in making Honda and Toyota the most popular car brands in America. You are aware that gas was already around/at $4.00 a gallon in the US, right? Without a tax? Where are you getting this stuff?

The fact of the matter is, "green" cars DO sell. The Prius sold 108,000 units in 2005 and 107,000 units in 2006. The Prius is/was so popular that you had to pay higher than sticker price due to demand, and people did... and they actually made so many they had a shortage in the batteries they were using in them! "Green cars aren't selling in America" LOL

US Automakers are out of touch not only with quality (which has risen as of late, but when you build a reputation like the US automakers have, its hard to shake it) and also with their target market.. which is drying up, fast. There's a reason they're begging for money while manufactures like Honda and Toyota aren't.

I also want to say I hate the word green. It's just the latest fad word for EFFICIENCY. "Going green" has nothing to do with political affiliation or trendiness but everything to do with doing things more efficiently. A better insulated home, cheaper recycled mateials, renewable resources, etc etc... When you say "green cars" I think of a car that is big enough but not large, gets good gas mileage, and has good emissions, for a fair price... that is efficiency... and that just so happens to sell in America, enough to keep the automakers that made the business decision to sell these cars from panhandling for enough $$$ to keep from going bankrupt!!

Not to mention also, not until lately have we seen any effort to make MORE efficient cars... for instance there are 10,000 models of SUVs, there are 10,000 models of pickup trucks, there are 10,000 different Jeeps (why?) compared to the handful of truly efficient cars, like the Civic, Camry, Corolla, Prius, Smart available on the US market... and guess what, they all sell. How are those pickup, suv, and jeep companies doing again?

If and when more efficient cars are sold in America, it will have nothing to do with a "new world order" and much to do with the demand for them...
