FIM/Topping at beginning of flowering?

I top every bloom. But i found that its best to top then let the plant heal for a few days then go 12/12. I topped and switched the same day and the buds suffered i think. Peace LL

I was pretty high the other night when doing some tying and pruning and forgot I was starting flowering that day. For some reason I thought I still had another week so I snipped the top of one of the tallest nodes to keep the canopy even. I know bud production doesn't start on day one. Mostly I was just curious as to whether it would stress the plants and cause herms.

I've topped plants on the first day of flower and the plant just stretches and forms a bunch of colas. HOWEVER i like to top then wait a few days to flower it's better to let the plant heal even alittle.

I flowered a white widow on day one of flower and it formed 3 perfect foot long stems from the top site.

Now i have a purple urkle that was never topped(LSTed) It has ZERO stretch in flower and would have been destroyed if topped on day one of flower.

bajasauce is right. If the plant has a lot of stretch, it should recover nicely. I'm growing mexican bagseed right now and I accidentally topped one of my sativa doms and she didn't even blink. Just has three main colas instead of one. I was pissed at myself after I did that, but it ended up for the better.
