Long time.... Hope ur all well

Hey Crew,

Hope you are all well, been a crazy year with work but that beats the years past when it was slow.

Anyway, I wanted to post a couple pics of the Gas and Guns Afterthought auto that popped up back at the end of June(20th), and went 12/12 on the lights Aug 30 because all the others flowered and finished, this was my wild girl, I topped her too. Pics from 8-30, 9-13 and 10-30.

Ever see this?

Ever see this?

I also came home from being gone 5 days, we had a heat wave while I was gone and it was 90+, so I know my tent was super hot, but what I found does not reflect heat damage anywhere, I think the cord was cut, how else would both lines go out?.

My 600W Platinum LED (24lbs) fell, and luckily only took out 1 small lower branch and still lights all diodes. It was hung with normal light cord assemblies commonly used, check out these pictures, I can only think this was cut but by who and why not take out the other smaller light I also have going, kill the plant steal it, but drop one of 2 fixtures?

It makes no sense what so ever. So I will gladly entertain your thoughts and speculation.

Good afternoon rocker.
You have a great attitude about work, being busy is a GOOD problem so to speak. I can get overwhelmed when it gets busy but it's better than not having work to do and no money for bills (or concerts for than matter:)).
Your G and G looks like she finished nicley! Was she tasty? Guns and gas was one of the ones that I grew about 3 years ago.
What do you have going in your currant run?

Wow that is some crazy shit brother. I have the same hangers for my 600w HPS and they are plenty strong. Mine have held up for over 3 years now with no signs of wear. To me it looks like the cord is frayed, not like a clean cut, more like an abrasion or maybe something was chewing at it. That dosent make much sense either though.
I'm glad that it still works and the damage was minimal but it sure is weird.

This is my current run, the last plant standing, this auto run the G&G picture was yesterday morning, And Tri's are still clear, so onward we go.

Here are the results of the Panthera, Azure Rocket and Gomers surprise, I really enjoyed the Azure Rocket flowers - https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=365531&page=3

I am undecided on the next run, since this last harvest was meager and I am back at the dispensary, I may get some clones so I get a quick turnaround, or another run of Auto's since I have more seeds ready to go. I will let you know.

As for the falling light, I ruled out chewing as there was no mess it is a clean break, fray, or what ever. I have decided it was a ghost in the tent that thought the light was too bright, lol. Mystery unsolved.

Greetings friends.

It's been a few days since I've been able to log on and I've been busy having a blast. So, last Thursday was Halloween and something completely abnormal happened with the weather here in wisco. We got about 8" of snow, in October. We rarely get that much snow at once in the winter here, never as early as thanksgiving, and never never in October. This was so weird I'm not sure what to think about it. It was enough snow that it took days to melt and all the city's and contractors had to put their plows and salters on their trucks. It was enough snow to make a big sloppy mess the day of the TOOL concert. In addition to the snow the day of the show it got super cold (24 degrees) the night of the show. A buddy of ours that was going to go to the show wasn't able because he has a snow removal business and was too busy.

So it was my bro, my wife and I that went to the TOOL concert and to say that it didn't disappoint would be an understatement. They played an amazing show and the light show was second to none. I've been seeing a lot of bands the last coup,e years and this was head and shoulders above the other shows I've seen. They are truly that good. We all took strong doses of shrooms about a half hour before show time and it were just starting to feel it as they took the stage. To be honest there arnt words to describe what we saw and heard so I won't try to explaine it. If you want to know you have to get out and see them live. And don't bother with the YouTube videos either, you have to be ther to appreciate them. If you are on the fence or even considering seeing them just do it. Even if tickets are expensive do it, I'd pay as much as they wanted to charge to have that experience again. I didn't get any pics of them because they had a strict no camera policy and at the end when Maynard told us "pathetic beings" to get those phones out and for security to stand down. To be honest we were all too high to even think about using our phones and we're just enjoying every minute.

I spent the rest of the weekend recovering and getting a few projects done around the house. I was very close to getting tickets to the TOOL concert on Sunday night in Chicago. If I couple have found good seats for less than like 800$ each I would have been there.

Sunday was a busy day of yard work because the snow was melting and I had a lot of leaves to rake, and there are a lot on my trees still. I did finish just in time to watch the packer game and that sure was no good. Not sure what was going on but the pack looked like crap and just couldn't get anything going. What a pathetic effort that was.

It's been a really busy coup,e of weeks with my trip to the south west, the party and having a house guest for a week, and the concert on Halloween. It's going to be tough but my schedule should back to normal for a while, and just when I was getting use to having some extra days off LOL.

Agree just going to be a mystery unsolved. I am glad the light still works, I could not afford to replace it. I retied the carabiners and hung it back up. Looking at the Trichomes this morning on the G&G and more of the cloudy Trichomes than I recall seeing last week, so I think I'll chop it soon, I need to fill the tent up and get a healthy harvest so I can stock my cupboards.

So what up with the Packers? I can not believe they lost to the Judas' very disappointing, but it made my Viking fan friend very happy. I did not see any football, we took a ride on our bikes along the coast, there is a new bike trail that is really cool, not a strenuous ride but scenic along the beach, we even walked them along the sand for a bit, very relaxing. Since the Chargers left I only see football when it just happens to be in front of me, and it's ok, with out the passion of a team football is not the same anymore. Hopefully I will do more riding this fall, go out to the east county where there are more trails now that it is cooler during the day.

Hope your weekend was fun, and you have a good week too.

Your so right that the important part is that the light still works. I use those style cords on 2 of my lights and chains and hooks on the other one. I will be keeping a close eye on the cords from here on out.

I'm not sure what happened to the packers on Sunday. They looked like they just didn't show up to play and never got anything going. They gave up a lot of big plays too. The score should have probably been even more lopsided to be honest. The word around here is that too many of them were out partying while in LA and not preparing and resting for the game. Rogers seemed to be calling them out in some of his comments after the game. But Rogers didn't look good either so not sure. Maybe just an off week. You should remind your Viking fan friend that they lost too and so did everyone in the NFC north so the pack didn't loose any ground to anyone.

That bike ride sounds like a nice time. I'm hoping that we get back to fall weather around here and I can get back on the bike soon. Weather guy says 2-3" of snow tonight so we shall see.

I hope your having a great week too brother!

Good afternoon pop_rocks.
It's nice to have you back brother!
The creepy dolls was a good idea for a theme this year and the guests seemed to like that and enjoy them too. Every year there is a diffrent theme but the decorations from the previous year's themes go out too so it just gets bigger and bigger and the house is starting to like a haunted house around party time. It's strating to take weeks to take down our normal decorations and put all the scary stuff. But the wife loves it and she take time off work to do the transformation. I can only imagine what things will be like in another ten years.
Halloween was really special. Firstly it snowed about 8" and that is completely unprecedented, we rarely get that much snow at once in the winter here. We never get that on Halloween but we did. It also got down to like 24 degrees that night but we were too high on those shrooms to feel it much. TOOL was AMAZING! They sounded great and Maynard still has it. The stage show with the lights was very intense and the best I've ever seen. In fact I think that it was the best concert I've ever been to. No pics or video could even come close to doing it justice it was like a spiritual experience. Even more than a week later I've got TOOL songs spinning in my head constantly when I'm not actively listening to other music. If you ever get a chance to see them do not hesitate just go!
It's kind of weird getting back into the normal routine this week after the last few weeks being so busy with the trip west, guests, the party and the concert but I'm settling back in.
I hope your week is going well and I'm sure we are both looking forward to the weekend.
Do you have anything planned for the weekend?

Good afternoon pop_rocks.

How did you like the football last weekend?
I was able to watch my Wisconsin Badgers play collage football on Saturday afternoon because they played a later game. I usually don't get to see the earlier games because I work untill early afternoon on Saturdays.
I also watched the pack play on Sunday and I'm glad they were able to get back to winning ways. The packers looked a lot better this week and were back to running the ball. The Panthers have that great running back and it was fun to watch him play.
Did you enjoy your Monday off?
I had Monday off too this week and I spent the entire day relaxing and hiding from the cold and snow. We really only got a couple inches of snow but it was one of those really windy days where it was blowing around all day and it got super cold like into single digits last night with sub zero windchill. I'm sick of winter already and it hasn't even started yet.
I'm glad your getting into the new TOOL album. Im loving it but still digesting it, as usual with TOOL, it takes me a year or so for the new material to really sink in and be fully realized. They played 4 songs off their new album at the concert, none off of opiate, one off of undertow (intolerance) and the rest off of the other 3 albums. I really wanted to hear a coup,e more of the older songs but was very happy with what we got.

*just announced yesterday TOOL will be playing San Diego on January 10 and 12*

Your so right that I'm starting to look forward to thanksgiving. I'll be going to an aunt on my dads side this year and seeing some family members that I don't get to see often.
I know how much we love all the food at the holiday and I'm sure we will be eating ourselves into a food coma and watching football.
I hope you have fun at Joshua tree. I haven't been there but the pics look really cool. Lots of cool rock formations and cactus and stuff.

Here are a coup,e pics of what's going on in the flower tent. It's a mixed run with 2 gorilla bubble and 2 cobra lips.

The cobra lips are on the left and the gorilla bubble on the right. The CL's look to be out yielding the GB's by a good bit. I love the gorilla bubble but haven't been able to get her to yeild for me. I think she would do well in a scrog type grow because she is really stretchy. I'll be chopping these girls soon and on to my next run.

I hope your week is off to a good start!

Good afternoon pop_rocks.
I did have a relaxing weekend but I look back and feel like it was a bit unproductive. And I'm a little ashamed of myself for hiding from the cold and snow. When you live here you have to embrace all the seasons, especially winter or your hiding for months at a time and that is no way to go through life. I've got to thicken my blood and go outside and do stuff or life is passing me by. I'm going to make some chicken and wild rice soup tonight and that should help warm me up.
Im sure that temps in the 50's feel pretty cold to y'all. I remember winter in NorCal with 40's&50's and rainy and it felt as cold as the winters back home to me. It looks like this cold air is covering most of the country, I saw on a map that record cold extends all the way down to the golf of Mexico. Canada can stop sharing it's cold air with us anytime. I'm glad you are enjoying some walks with your Mrs, Eggo and my walks have been shorter the last few days with the cold his paws get too cold to walk our usual route.
The plants are looking nice and are just about ready. The GB's are coming down soon, maybe tonight or tomorrow. I'm going to let the CL's go a few more days which makes for less work at once for me and they look like they could use some time. Once I empty the flower tent I'm going to move it over to the other side of my basement for more security.
I hear you about this being the busy season and that making it tough to get your indoor garden up and running. Do you have a good stash of bud from your summer outdoor run to keep you supplied? I always forget that you have plenty of dispensarys to get bud from as well. Come the first of the year Illinois will be rec legal and I will be able to take the short drive over the border to get buds should I run out or want some variety. It should help push our state into changing the laws here and getting with the program.
I'd love to see some pics from the desert when you go!
Yep, the pack looked better and I think the coach has learned that to abandon the run is detrimental, especially as the season goes on and the weather plays in Green Bay.
Happy hump day and let's get through the rest of the week and get to the weekend.

thats funny you mention needing to get with the cold, i was jsut telling the mrs the same thign this morning
its been really cold here and the past few days we have had lots of fog too in the am hours
so when we wake up its not just cold but damp
we were both feeling it and i mentioned how i just need to embrace the suck and get on with it
i have plenty of cold weather gear, ntohing like you would have probably but some nice thermals and a heavy coat i can wear but i tihnk for now i can get by with a light coat and thicker blood
thats too bad about the pup getting cold feet, can you notice a difference in how he walks?
i see a lady who walks arounf here and her doggie has these little shoes, im not sure if they are for the cold/hot or if the pup has sensitive feet but they look comfy as long as the dog dosent mind wearing them
yeah im sitting on a nice stash of outdoor plus im still plugged into my old network of grower friends so i dont really have to worry about fresh bud
i just ike having my own garden and it gives me something productive to do in my free time, plus i just enjoy growing
we will get things squared away here sooner or later
you have a great hump day too and i hope you are enjoying the calm before the holiday storm
have you thgouth about what you are gettting the mrs for christmas yat?

Good afternoon pop_rocks.
For sure the cold takes a little getting use to and some adjustments but to hide from it would be a shame. Weather it's Cali cold or wisco cold you can usually dress for it. I'd say that having a good and adventurous attitude is 9/10's of the battle anyway. You are so right about their being something especially chilly about when it's cold and damp too. It's a combo that can chill you to the bone. And the body does seem to adjust to the cold as well but it takes a little time. By the time spring comes around temps in the 50's is t-shirt weather but in fall it's sweatshirt weather for sure. After the last week or so it finally got to the upper 20's today and that felt warm in comparison so I'm adjusting already. Get those warm cloths out and use them brother!
Part of the reason we take the shorter rout when it's cold is for him and partly for me as well. When it's bitter cold he defenatly gets cold paws but what really gets him walking funny is when the snow gets packed in between his toes. A lot of walking on the streets that are covered in salt isn't good for the pads either. I've seen those dog shoes before and there a great idea. They would protect from cold, snow, salt and whatever else is out there. I'm my experience most dogs do not like people messing with or putting things on their feet. I should try and see if Eggo will let me put shoes on them. He is pretty good about trying new things so it would be worth a shot.
I hear you on liking to be independent when it comes to supplying your own buds. Even once I can go across the border (or when it's rec legal here) I'm sure I will prefer to grow my own too. I'm glad you have a good stash set aside and I'm sure you'll find time for gardening after the holidays.
To be honest I haven't given Christmas or presents any thought yet. I'm a procrastinator so I usually don't even think about that stuff untill after turkey day. Man, I remember the old days I would always end up shopping at the mall a day or two before Christmas and suffering through the huge crowds. I love that I can do my shopping on line these days but I do have to get an earlier start than I use to when I'd shop at the mall.
I hope your having a good day brother!

one more day to go and then its saturday
for some reason i dident want to get out of bed this morning
i was awake and feeling fine but it just felt so nice and cozy under the covers, i had to kick myself into gear
i dident even think about the ice and salt getting between egos toes
the salt can really dry tihngs out and im sure it would cause me to walk funny too, maybe you can get him some doggie shoes and see if he likes them and if not return them
ukie would not wear anything we put on her but who knows about your new pup
/funny i still tihnk of him as the new dog
you are right about being self sufficient and growing your own being the best, but its nice to have firends who can hook you up from time to time
when we made the caramel candy recipe you gave us we used fresh trim i got from my friend
we ended up making about a pound of butter so i wanted to use a ton of shake and they came out grerat
the mrs really liked them and we are going to make them again soon; maybe this weekend soon
so how to you tend to the candy after you make it
the first time we just poured it into this baking dish and ended up with this giant lozenge of caramel
this time we got some of those silicone baking molds to put it in so at least it will be in individual portions
how do you do it?
this year i think im just shopping for the mr s and my mom
mrschicky is pretty simple to shop for and my mom will tell me what she wants me to get her, or more likely she will buy something and just tell me how much i owe her for her gift
but its nice to get all the shopping ot of the way as soon as possible, that way you can jsut enjoy the holidays

Good afternoon pop_rocks.
I've been staying in bed later than usual as well lately. For me it's that the sun is coming up later, even with the time change and with the windows closed and no birds making a racket outside it makes it easy for me to sleep in. In the summer I usually can't sleep past when the sun comes up or at least if I wake up once the sun is up I can't usually fall back asleep. I love that cozy feeling under the covers on a cold morning feeling too.
The cold, salt and snow are all hard on Eggo's paws. He is good for a coup,e blocks but long walks are out for now. I think I will order a pair of dog shoes for him and give them a try. He is pretty tolerant of stuff so maybe he won't mind wearing them. Only one way to find out.
Now that you mention it we are comming up on our first anniversary of having Eggo as a member of the family. Time flys and it sure dosent seem like it's been a year already. He has come a long way and we have bonded nicely. He snuggles way more than Rufus or JJ our lab ever did. He is goofy and very entertaining. And a great watchdog as well.
When I made the caramel I just poured it into a Pyrex baking pan and then cut it into squares and wrapped them with parchment paper. Candy molds sound like a great idea. I hope they turn out great for you!
That is great about your mom and Mrs being easy to shop for. My wife is pretty easy to shop for too I just have to ask her to make some suggestions. My wife usually shops for little gifts for the rest of the family because she is good at picking things that are appropriate for each person. Mostly we all have everything that we need and most of what we want so it's just little gifts the let people know we are thinking about them.
I hope your finishing your week of on a high note :)!
