In the late afternoon, especially after I've had a meal, if I close my eyes watching the TV....BOOM, I'm out like a light. I'll wake up about 40 minutes later thinking, "Oh well, I missed that!" Does that count, or should I start a "Old Farts That Pass Out Thread?" Considering the content of this site, I'm thinking the numbers will be huge!
I drink gallons of coffee and smoke sat Dom strains during the day..... Otherwise, I'd need a nap by 1! I'm up at 5:45 a.m. everyday to get my hubby and kids off for the day. Don't sleep for sh*t, though have recently been taking Sonata, which helps. Edibles used to help really well whenI'd come down, but not as much these days. Even the India's I grow to help me sleep don't keep me asleep all night. So, yeah.... I usually need a nap.,.. I just can't usually fit it in to my day!
Do people REALLY complain about being empty nesters!? Even the one that's moved out and has one of her own is here more than not! Oh, and she's growing clones from my garden with her FIL!
Every night is a series of short naps, with long periods of being awake in between. Sucks bad! And everyone says "don't drink coffee. That's the problem." but, I have quit coffee for a few weeks before and it didn't help me sleep, it just made it harder to get things done during the day. I hate taking sleeping pills, but a few times a week I do. My stress level is way down and more energy.
I'm only 32 and I take a nap almost every day. Granted I get up at 5:45 a.m. everyday to get the kids motivated for school. Right now is the "off season", so I only "work" at night when the lights are on, at the indoor grow. From late april until November and I work split shifts. Get the kids to school for 7 a.m. , then go take care of outdoor spots until 12-12:30. Come home, take a nap until 2. Pick the kids up at 2:30, then leave at 3 to go take care of the indoor grow. Work there until 6-7(sometimes 10-11, depends on the workload). Then come home to get burnt, go to bed and start it all over again.
So naps are needed to avoid becoming over tired, and worn out. This is 7 days a week, as in growing there is no day off(well not in my silly little head anyway). Naps are my savior.....
