Set up's looking good
With regard to feeding. You shouldn't need to feed until at least 2 weeks old, maybe longer. When your plants begin to show signs of hunger any nitrogen based fert will meet their needs.
Don't be tempted to feed to soon, and when you do start at 1/2 strength.

Good luck :canabis:

Thanks for the advice!!
Right now the temp is between 85-90 degrees with 50-60% humidity, is this ok for germinating? As soon as my portable ac arrives ill bring it down to late 70's early 80's..

Is the box running that hot with fluoros? Seems a bit high. One of the bigger dangers with little seedlings, besides overwater, is drying them out - I start veg under a few fluoros and wait until they're a bit bigger before they go under the MH

Its not the fluoro's that are causing that heat, it's the florida summer
Hopefully my ac unit arrives this week....

Looks fantastic crunkinshoe:

Make sure yer fan in the veg room has space behind the fan. If it is right up against the wall there will be limitations to its' efficiency. With limited height space make sure your babies do not veg. for too long.

Good Luck with the portable A/C! i and i used one once and it did not work as good as a window a/c. Cost too much to run compared to the window one. Most problems came from the a/c unit being stuffed in a box then vented out the back. Poor design.

one.

My ac is going to be pumped into the veg chamber via 4" insulated tubing with the unit right beside the box. Then my exhaust fan will bring the cool air upward into the flowering chamber. I'm pretty sure it will work nicely.... I won't be able to use the thermostat but it has a timer too so I'll be ok. I think :chin:

Yea, that fan in the veg chamber actually has like 4 inches of space behind it. It just doesn't look like it with all the plastic that surrounds it.
I have about 2.8' in the veg chamber and 4'2 (basically a little less than 3' with my 400w hps and pots) in flower so....
around 8" or so I'll move em to flower. Once they germinate that is.... :bigeye:

I have a couple little guys poking above the soil :woohoo:
I am just wondering, with the temps that I have until my ac unit arrives, how far from the plants should I put my 60w of fluror's? I know in this early stage they are very delicate.. any help would be grealty appreciated

Letting them touch the flouros is no biggie, my clones are growing up into the reflectors lol!

Maybe just keep the box door open with a fan on? Anything you can do to keep the ambient temps down really.

looking good crunkinshoes. i really like your big sapcious set up. as for the fluoros i would keep them about and inch or two away from the tops of your seedlings. thats where i kept mine and they are still there about a weekinto it. i am waiting on my hps but keep them fluoros as close as you can...but be careful they do get hot and can burn the plants if they touch them.

good luck

Well I got a wall mounted ac unit today which I am running the cold air through a tube into the grow box and exhausting into the outer room. It seems to be working ok... Im going to try and keep temps in the late 70's, early 80's. Ill post pics as soon as possible!

I decided to stick with the ac unit after realizing 3 little air coolers aren't gonna do shit :bashhead: I'll post pics tomorrow at 1 week from the first sprouts.

The tops are about 2-3 inches from the lights but I just put a piece of wood under them to add some height. I think I'm going to pot up to 1 gal pots today and slightly bury a little stem to hopefully remedy this problem...
