Looking good MrB.

Any time I tried 20lt pots in a tent (2/2.2metre in height) using various training techniques, I found by the time the roots had filled the pots to switch them over to flower they were humongous even before the stretch.

The veg time usually consisted of 6-7 weeks from birth, if I go less on the veg time the roots won't have filled the pots..

I was running HPS (still am) maybe this is were we are seeing the benefits of LED?

Just stocked up on whisky and Guinness for a weekend of shenanigans and antics the shamrock ☘ is going to get a good drowning..

Best wishes to you and yours...

Hey mate
I usually try to give them 3/4 weeks in the smaller pots ( allows me to slip them in the tent at night when the lights are on, then window sill in the day) then repot at around 4 weeks old and give them a week or two veg to get up to height by around 6 weeks old when I start to see little preflowers then flip.
These should be flipping either tomorrow or Monday.

Hope you have a blinding weekend, be sure to have one for me :tiphat:

6 days later, growing nice and vigorously.. at day 40 now and preflowers are starting to show so I have decided to flip tonight 🥳
Game on.

Edit: they’ll be on 13h light/11h dark for the first 2-3 weeks, then down to 12/12

The rose has done well and will be removed tomorrow, then hardened off and put outside 👍

Still on 13h light at the moment but I’ll take them back to 12h at the end of the week :tiphat:

That's impressive for 3 weeks. I would of said 4. Do you think it might be related to the 13h light. I did long days last run, and seemed to get a similarly quick start, that this 12h run hasn't produced. I'm starting to think something is wrong, as these were all new plants for that 13h, that I'm doing again.

I'm not sure I would drop them to 12h. There seems no reason to speed them up, and reduce their DLI. They're doing too well, for me to want to rock the boat.

For reference, I started at 13h for a week, and nothing seemed to happen for one plant. Dropped to 12.5h and got an explosive reaction from it. It took the lead within a week.

There is really something in light hour manipulation. It was a black muffin fast that didn't respond, and I had thought fast genes would mean 16h triggers. I have seen that outdoor. Perhaps my week wasn't conclusive enough, but research has seen 13.25h as a tipping point, watching two commercial strains. They are all a bit different. 13h I would think safe for most of us safe to start with. It must be reduced though, as you doubtless know, or it's fluffy bud that won't finish in a timely manner. Chucking out fresh growth, and trying to herm. Probably as it thinks there is time.
I'm slowly piecing it together, and have had an instagram yield, using light manipulation, and lighting from more angles.

Good work. What was the feed you wish you hadn't applied? Might it of pushed them

Hello mate thanks for stopping by
I honestly think it’s the guerilla gold in the mix that makes them build fast- I was at a similar stage with the gorilla haze at 3 weeks.
They were also preflowering well when I flipped them.
For the 13h there are studies online about the effect of different photoperiods and starting at 13 and finishing at 12 seemed to give the best results. Finishing higher or lower than 12 gave lower overall thc.
I started doing it myself years ago because outdoors they start flowering way before 12, and the extra energy can’t hurt

The food problem was that I should have left an extra week before the second feed- damned amnesia is too strong sometimes 🤣

Put the light down to 12h after it went off this morning to let them know autumn is here…
I’ll be updating later on 👍
I caught some kind of 24 hr vomiting bug so I couldn’t update or even water last night… hope they’re ok.
I been awake all night and sleeping on and off all day, seems to be on its way out but I feel rinsed out.
