Pahtsesh: I would not be surprised if Oaksterdam cabal is helping to push these ordinances. That's how O-town got limited to four dispensaries. Its the basic model for control that has worked in California since 215.

Part 2/2

Part 2/2

Sorry this has taken so long I have been beyond busy with school and life in general. So fortunately with these last five I have pictures, unfortunately I lost my notes on them.

Regardless the show must go on... Part 2. I'm going to condense this and part 1 in the judges thread aswell.

I was so excited when I woke up to reach into my grab bag and pulled out the Malawi. I needed to work with patients in the morning, so I impatiently waited, but on lunch I literally had the pleasure. The bud was a lovely shade of light green with a wispy true Sativa dominant structure. Also I was so lucky to pull the sample with a nice mature seed. Can you tell me what to expect DD? Is it just Malawi or Malawi X SB? Regardless I was taken back by how focused I was once I came back to the school in stead of the hospital for class. It was Pharmacology and I was actually understanding it finally. I though for sure I had found my winner. Kudos DD on an outstanding entry, even with out the notes I recall it perfectly.

Next thing I was lucky enough to try was the Platinum Purps. I was going to the A's game and wanted to be nicely medicated and this strong sample didn't disappoint. I got lucky to try this at GKG and remembered how distinct it was. On the Bart ride over I couldn't stop smelling this in my pocket and the smell might be what I like most about this strain very sourish, but almost undefinable. Bag appeal on this is through the roof and I would really appreciate a phone call every time you harvest, count me in for an ounce or two, pretty please? I smoked a little joint as my sample in the parking lot of the game and overheard someone in the distance yell out I got five on it. Long story short I was heavily medicated through the beginning half of the game followed by a nice buzz from quite a few blue moons.

When I got home I decided I could handle one more before the night's end. I reached in and grabbed the beautiful Blue Night. I was fully intrigued by the look and smell from the second I laid eyes on her. Brilliant job on her frikn squirrel. Well soon after I started to freak because my bong was ready, hakko plugged in, but I some how lost the Blue Night sample in minutes of laying it out. I was a bit buzzed, but sniffed it out, it ended up being on the ground. (I guess I was a little more buzzed than I though and knocked it to the ground) I partook and found the taste to be as nice as the look, and the ash was evident there was a proper flush. I didn't last long after this one and soon crashed, but I consider that perfect for one of the reasons I medicate, insomnia. It couldn't have hurt I had a long day, but all in all this was just next to perfect in my eyes.

Waking up I decided to try my buddy's Chem D because I have had it before and have built up a little bit of a tolerence. Figuring I could handle the wake and bake. I could, but I was definitely affected more than most times I wake and bake(which is normally daily) This batch smelled like baby poo and the classic dieselish tones. Taste transfered nicely and was one of the stickiest samples I got. I also wanted to note that this was cut a mere couple weeks if that before it was entered. Only one week cure, but still utterly amazing. Glad those who wanted cuts of this got them. We ended up leaving the rest up there so hopefully they get to good homes. If anyone else wants any of these cuts that didn't get them I can bring some next time I go up.

Last and most certainly not least I was fortunate to try Sour Diesel. I have had more batches of Sour D than fingers and toes, but this was the 1.5 BX from Rez seeds grown by BM-504. This lived up to the hype and I am definitely looking and geting my hands on some Sour D IBL in this upcoming drop. The smell was heavenly and reminded me of what weed can be. Top shelf by all counts and the strength was nothing to mess with. This was my last sample, but also the only sample I smoked a bowl of then left alone(with another bowl packed and ready, that I forgot about) to be incredibly high. I didn't want to smoke the last of this because I don't know the next time it will be where I can come across some Sour D on this level. Well deserved winner Congrats buddy.

Hope you enjoyed the report as much as I enjoyed the hard task of testing each of these outstanding entries. You all deserve a pat on the back and thank you fir reminding me we have it good here in Cali.

Thanks to Good Karma Growers for allowing such an amazing event, and also thank you to all the contestants and supporters of GKG to allow this to take place. Peace and Good Karma all around.

wandering I think they are, either way if you have your recommendation & Id they will treat you to a nice visit.

I went to the Board meeting today & they want to start the public notice process in 6 to 8 weeks. It looks like they want to stay with pretty restrictive zoning regulations. They did talk till 4:30 pm or so. I hope that some one recorded the broadcast & will share it. To me it looks like we are going to need to start running candidates for all local offices that think & listen!! This crop has a different agenda then the voters!

I was at the morning session dealing with dispensaries but couldn't make it to the afternoon session dealing with cultivation. When you say that they want to stay with restrictive zoning regulations, are you referring to the dispensaries or to the cultivation side of things.

I would really like to hear/see the content of the afternoon session. The minutes should be available.

It looks like they might allow just a 'use' permit, & in C-2 require a 'major use' permit ($1900). They will look at 500 foot set backs vis 1000. Not much more relief for dispensaries, maybe can have clones.
Grower might have zip-ties if they allow it & possible health dept oversight vis sheriff

GKG may have to relocate under this ordinance. These are the first steps... the key is to show up in greater and greater numbers every time this issue is on the agenda. Turnout was good, but our sheer numbers should make it take a week to get thru a single day's agenda for the BOS.

Supervisor Ron Brown thinks that legalization passing in November will have no effect on this ordinance. But its one of those things that you probably can't quantify right nowbut there will be less political will to push ordinances like this through... especially when the tourism dollars start coming in.

The more bodies that get in line for comments at the BOS meetings, the longer this process will take. We cannot let them push this through.

Did the mention any kind of grandfathering in of grows for the 2010 season? If an ordinance passes and plants are already in the ground, are they coming to take em down? Was there mention of the 1200w limit on indoor grows? The ridiculous size limits for patches? Distances from fencelines? Property sizes?

Lake County residents can watch the Board of Supervisors meeting on Lake TV8 (on Mediacom cable only).

I will write a detailed report on the proceedings yesterday as I stayed thru til the end at 5 pm. It wasn't as bad as it could be... but we can not give up our rights under Prop 215 to local conservatives with moral issues.

can i have this in bumper sticker form...haha

my thoughts exactly brother.
Hope you are well. That sour lifesaver was the best tasting herb at the cup, tasted amazing all the way down to the roach. Blessing and thanks for that sample.

Ok I look forward to the review.

SOmehting ive noticed while being in this crazy area of life is that counties look to other places for what to do i nthere own cites/counties/towns ect. This is why this interests me, b/c i see a lot of counties using the lame excuse "well this county put a ordinance in place so that means we can and should"

cmon think for your self BOS' (all of you in the state!)

And does a BOS even have legal power to implemate regulations such as plant and weight limits into a state propostition that has no wording on limits or anything like that. Seems like thats why we won in people vs. kelly, SB420 was unconsttuional and so doesn't that make all these BOS decisions the same?

TJO: this ordinance thing is the playbook by which the right is trying to control our industry. They sort of showed their hand when they used the Shasta ordinance as their draft.

U can have anything u want on a bumper sticker. http://www.buildasign.com/Bumper-Stickers

hha thanks, you might see a few of these soon on a truck near you, ill be sure to get you one nomaad!

haha yeah im listening to lassen county sherrif also use other places as exaples of what to do...because all patients are the same and will fit into any mold the states right wants...uh yeah right, that like the assumption that all patinets are millionares. that one makes me laugh, when you see 70 dollar eigths...its sad really

ok Raspect!

We arent there yet and hopefully we will be able to have a few voices of reason on the board. We seem to have gained some support with one member. We wont give up and thats for sure.

The Sour Life Saver will be in the club in clone form really soon as Bog gifted me with a pack of 27 seeds and they are popping now. :)
We are waiting to sex the Fire OG and Master Kush for more first generation babies to bring in. We will also have a few of Bog's Grape Punch clones and Blue Kush will be added later in the month.
