More Good Morning Updates.

More Good Morning Updates.

These are the two seeds I germinated late. They will have about a month and a half before natural flowering starts. The New Malawi Killer and the Purple Malawi. These seeds germinated in the 45 gallon grow bags fine. They didn't get any special treatment at all. This is the Angola x Kali China. She is sharing her bag with the Purple Malawi. The NMK is sharing a bag with the China Yunnan. Have a great start to your week and a happy and safe 4th of July. Peace

I only had mushrooms grow this year so far, I used a rotting oat straw for vegetables and some mushrooms popped up and are gone now, I also went 6 inches deep because I didn't want to weed things out first. Normally 1-2 inch would be enough, using wheat straw I have never had mushrooms or fungus just keep 2-3 inches away from the crown of the plant.

Bravo farmerlion :tiphat:

It's a pleasure to follow the fast development of your plants, they are amazingly healthy, all of them, grown to perfection so far. You must be proud of your gardening skills and for being able to deal so well with such wide variety of genetics.

Thanks for the updates and have a great start of week! :huggg:

Samuel Caldwell , Limey Green. Thank you for your thoughts on mulching. I much prefer to stay organic at every level. (if possible) I've never dealt with a root fungus before and honestly, I didn't want to throw the unknown into the mix. I'm sure it's more fear in my lack of knowledge on mulching. I will do some studying and check out the link. Thank you both very much for the help.

Dubi, Your words are very kind. You have been such a great resource of knowledge and guidance. It is really your hands at work in a way. I have many saved emails from you over past few years. I also re read the growing tips of each strain and try to follow as best I can. I just finished a few hours of note taking. I don't really look back at the notes to often. The best thing is I really look at each plant carefully. You can see their subtle hints and hear whispers,( more/less water, food, warmer/cooler temperatures). That is on a day off! During the middle of an 70 to 80 hour week, I'm a terrible parent. Then I revert back to, This is why I run Ace genetics. Thank you dubi and Ace crew. Peace

100 degrees f today in GH.

100 degrees f today in GH.

Acouple of pictures. I will do the worst first. These are the Peyote Purple plants. I'm thinking they have a hot spot in the soil I didn't get mixed thoroughly enough. The leaves have a wave look to them and the tips are curling under. Yet last season my Peyote Purple did something similar then pulled out of it. I'm trying to flush the soil without over watering the plant long term. Kind of feast and famine attempt. Zamaldelica x Kali China, This one has been easy to please as long as I water her twice a day. Peace

The top right picture is actually a China Yunnan. I uploaded the wrong picture. The second Peyote Purple plant looks bad. It isn't impressed with my cares. I couldn't find the right picture either. Just know it looks bad! Peace

This is the CBG Michoacán Crème. Today I can't smell anything. Every plant smells the same today. Crappy side is I can't taste anything either. One sense compliments the other, I'm grilling some Walleye in butter with friends tonight. It will just be chewing for me. (enough crying).
This is the Guawi. There is two plants in this 45 gallon bag. One is a few weeks older than the other. Both seem to be happy and are a very strong plant. They don't get stressed easily.
This is the Orient Express x NepJam. She is closest to the door and the large vent. At times the wind really moves her around. Not counting the times I bang into her. (high traffic work area) One of the outlets I use is next to her. My friend has a battery powered Milwaukee tools vacuum. That thing is really the ticket for gentle cleaning. I sent the wife to town to get one and she came back with the new Godzilla movie. I guess I'm not the only one who gets side tracked at times. Peace :tiphat:

Your plants are looking excellent, farmerlion. That Zamaldelica x KC is very intriguing, can't wait to see her flower:0)

I also grow organic and you'll notice that the mulching link I posted is from the organic section. A little fungus is not necessarily a bad thing in a healthy, active biodiverse organic soil.

Samuel Caldwell, I agree with that. A strong microbial soil is what I try to achieve also. I'm honestly not confident in starting one on top of a soil base that is already established with a good Ph. I will have to water more for the balance of this season. But on a brighter side. I will certainly learn from this grow and have a better understanding of soil composition. I did have some soil composting from last years soil mix. I needed to use it when I leveled the foundation for this greenhouse. Have a great day. Peace

Thank You ULMV

Thank You ULMV

The battle continues today. I'm glad I'm off to babysit the girls. It is 110 f in the greenhouse today. The rapitest is in with the Destroyer. She had already been watered once two hours earlier. The water is going fast today.
This is the Destroyer plant. It seems to be doing well in the oven. This is my smaller Peyote Purple. This plant has been a challenge to keep happy. The other Peyote Purple is in the same 35 gallon grow bag. It has some odd wave pattern in some of the leaves but remains very vigorous. The smaller PP is also still growing well. She just doesn't like me. Peace :tiphat:

More hot sweaty girls.

More hot sweaty girls.

These two are Queen Mothers.
These are the Malawi Pink Hair x MaPettit. They are sharing a 40 gallon grow tub. They seem happy so far. Their soil mix holds moisture very well.
This is the newest addition to the room. This Purple Malawi is a plant I've been wanting for a long time. If I happen to get a male Peyote Purple. This little lady is going to be defiled repeatedly.

Summertime Girls

Summertime Girls

This is the Zipolite Oaxacan.
This one is the Acapulco Gold Right now she is getting 17 hour days of sunlight. Far more than her natural environment. Stretching during flowering may be unreal with a few of these genetics. The Guawi scares me.
This is the China Yunnan. This lady is really finding her stride now that the weather has warmed up. These are my Zamaldelica x Kali China. They are in the S.W. corner of the greenhouse. I wanted them to have the most and best light I could provide. If needed I have several kinds of structure to tie her off to.

Last Pic's for today

Last Pic's for today

These are top pic's of Guawi plants B & C. There is three total plants in this 45 gallon grow bag. I will see if root congestion is a little better than root bound. My theory is they will still have plenty of room, just a crowded room. As the old saying goes, ( I may be on to something or on something)??. Either way I will learn more about my new growing environment. What works and what could be done different or better.

Plant C
I hope you have enjoyed seeing the girls. It has been a blast for me enjoying theirs and your company. Peace :tiphat:

Just beautiful, very nice and healthy, don't look stressed at all. Nice to hear they can handle that heat in veg. Looks like your space will stay well above ambient temps in winter, too;) The Acapulco gold and Oaxacan, to name two, have got my attention big time and I've got me peepers trained on your Zam x KC, who look very happy (and who after 3 week's cure and a day's tolerance break, I do hereby declare a whopper of a positive, trippy headstone). I do however predict that midway through flower you will no longer be able to perambulate among the brambulates with any sort of nonchalance. Oh, the twisting dance you will have to do! You're going to be in great shape, which is good because you may have to burn any clothes you wear in there after 5 weeks flower;) have a great 4th, brother, dwd

deepwaterdude, You crack me up brother! Thank you for your kind words. I'm very thankful it was a holiday and I was off work. I have a job starting at noon in Montana. So I will be able to spend a little time with the girls again. They will be drinking heavily to start their day out. The balance of this week is supposed to be very hot. The three plants you mentioned definitely hold a special place with me to. The Angola genetics and the Michoacán Cream, Destroyer??? Hell there isn't a plant I'm not in love with for one reason or another. I enjoy seeing everyone else's work as well. I guess it's a testament of the quality of growers here on the Ace forums. Certainly the quality of genetics we have all discovered and enjoy. I can say, I think the genetics make me look better than my skill sets really are. I'm looking forward to mid August when flowering starts. Peace

Hello again, The girls had their second feeding yesterday. Alaskan brand more bloom fish emulsion. I have been using it for four years now. It doesn't have any nitrogen in it. I can control that aspect of the feedings easier during flowering. Peace
