I transferred all of the RDWC tops and some of the bottoms into paper bags within the last couple of days and have been sweating the product. I have a better idea of estimating the yield and I actually have a chance of getting 4 pounds which is really nice considering a made a few mistakes and could have easily got more weight. That doesn't even include the plants that Snypette had on the side of the system which will be an easy 12 oz. Nothing is completely dry yet so nothing is set in stone but I'm pretty sure that I'll get close to 2,000 grams between the RDWC System and the plants on the side of the system which I'm really happy about! I don't know if I will get a gram per watt with the mistakes that I made but if I don't, I should only be 100 grams off at most!

4 elbows sounds great. Nice job man.

Yeah ODW! I'm pretty excited because I was scared I would only get around 3 pounds in the system but I was being negative just in case so I wouldn't be too disappointed with the first 10 bucket run. Some of the tent just went from paper bag to the jar to start the final sweat as well! I only harvested 3 plants in the tent so far which were 2 Motorbreath #6's and 1 StarDawg #9 and all 3 yielded over 2 oz each which is over 6 oz so far and I still have 10 more plants in the tent that need to come down soon. So far so good!

Starting some new seed! Going to be a fun ride! Some more breeding will also come from this. Trying to think what else to pop but I think the first thing that I want to do is take a few Sour Diesel males and cross them to:

The White
Ice
StarDawg#6
KK StarDawg
StarDawg#9
Nag Champa Kush / Illuminati StarDawg
Motorbreath #6
BYTCH
F13 (F2)
J1
Sour Diesel IBL

It's not going to be easy because me and Snypette are trying to get another farm in order so we will be running 2 farms pretty soon. Snypette will probably be living at one farm while I'll be living at the other one. We shall see how it all comes together. Should be an interesting 2014!

Hell yeah, bean popping is always fun! Your strain list looks devastating brother... is that our signature east coast sour d? I've always wondered where to find those genetics... I don't talk to other growers in my state so everything I run is ordered in :/

That Stardog looks beautiful btw...

It's Sour Diesel IBL from Rez who's not in the biz anymore. I bought a bunch of packs years ago. I think most of the packs are from 2010 but I might have 1 pack from earlier when the release seemed better but they are all mixed in to the jar that I store them in. The problem that I see on these forums from people who grew them is complaints of no Sour in them but the Diesel is there. There is also a "thick stemmed" one that pops up that i'm not really feeling. The other weird thing is that they seem to get better as time goes on. The seed plant doesn't seem as good as the clone plants but I don't understand why as of now. The goal is to look through this stock and see what I'm working with and possibly try to make some improvements if I can. We shall see.

The RDWC BYTCH Harvest just went from paper bags to 1 trash bag. Let me explain the process but I will add it to my harvest thread in more detail. Just want to give you an idea of what I do when multiple pounds of 1 phenotype are being done.

After I hang the manicured branches, I try to dry them as slow as possible. For 4-6 pounds a small closet works well. If I have big tops then I harvest those ones first because they take longer to dry and if you do it right, mostly everything will be finished together. For the first day or 2 I will put a fan on the bigger tops. I put everything close together to dry it as slow as I can. If there is a chance of mold then you have to spread them out further. I don't want the product to dry too fast. The goal is to not let the outside of the buds to feel dry for at least 5 days. A lot of times after 2 days I will have to turn off the fan and maybe even close the closet door. It all depends on your environment and mine is always changing which makes you much better in the long run.

Once the outside of the buds feel dry to the touch while others are slightly wet to the touch. I take cut the buds off of the stems and into Stop&Shop grocery paper bags. I fill them all the way up to the top and the regular size bag will fit 1.5-2 pounds depending on strain. I leave the completely filled paper bags open in a cool dry dark place of no more than 60% rH. I like to do this process in the cool and not warm area. The top of the buds in the bag should feel slightly wet to the touch because I try to put the ones that are more wet at the top of the bag. Remember that I only use this method when the stems don't crack. If the stems already cracked before this then you fucked up by not checking on your hanging buds fast enough. Now if the top of the bag doesn't feel slightly wet, you will need to take another paper bag and slide it over the filled bag of product. Slide that bag all the way down and leave it for 12-24 hours. Continue filling your other bags unless you only have one and use the method above.

If your product felt wet to the touch (which is what I do), leave the bag open until the buds at the top of the bag feel dry to the touch and then slide the other paper bag over the bag of product like I stated above.

Now we are at the same point as the 2 options that I listed above. After 12-24 hours you will need to check on the bag / bags. Slide off the top bag, your product should feel slightly wet now if you are doing this right. Leave the bag/bags open until the top of the bag feels dry again. This shouldn't take more than 6 hours. Now, take the other empty paper bag and slide it over the bag of product like before, but when you get the bag slid all the way down, turn everything upside down. Once you do that slide off the paper bag. You just turned around the whole bag and are now looking at the buds that were on the bottom of the old bag. They should feel wet. Let the bag sit open until it feels dry to the touch. Then slide the other paper bag on top like before. You just continue doing this until the product doesn't wet up anymore.

If I have multiple filled paper bags, after most of it feels dry to the touch and some of it is spongy, I take all the bags and dump everything out into 1 trash bag and tie it up for 24 hours. I open it up and let it air out and continue similar steps as above. We are looking for a consistent product so it all should be together. If you only had 1 paper bag then it would have gone into a big jar, like a 5 gallon glass jar will fit 1.5-2 pounds.

More details later but I weighed out the RWDC crop in the trash bag and it's almost done and it is over 4 pounds and will still be over 4 pounds when it is fully dry according to how high the numbers are. It's safe to say right now that I will easily get 4 pounds out of the RDWC crop. This doesn't include the other soil plants on the side which will easily be 10 oz. What this means is I'm going to get over a gram per watt on this crop which is always a nice bonus. I like to expect 2 pounds per light but going over those numbers is becoming more common for me.

BYTCH X Sour Diesel's have been germ tested and they all germinated within 24 hours! I'll germ test the rest today and those will reach Clarence by the end of the month for the server fund.

Only a few of the Sour Diesel IBL's germinated so far.

No F13's have germinated so far.

Only 1 J1 from 1998 has germinated so far. :comfort:
Hopefully I can get more to germ because this is one of my favorites.

All the seed that has germinated has been planted into Fox Farm Light Warrior and a propagator dome was placed on top with the holes in the closed position.

How can you pop clone only seed. LOL! Maybe one feminized the other?

J1 = [(Original Haze x NL5) x (Skunk1 x Columbian Gold)] x Silver Pearl

This stock dates back to 1998 and is the original stock that the J1 came from. That's why it says J1 on it. Don't be confused by another strain called J1 in Cali. They are not one in the same. I will most likely rename the J1 pheno "Mass Electric". The problem is that the J1 pheno comes out maybe 1 out of 10 seeds but most likely 1 out of 20. The stock was giving to me by someone that I called my mentor even though he wasn't. He did teach me some things and he was a master breeder and the most amazing grower that i've ever met. He was an organic guy that has been growing in various countries since the 60's. This project took over 10 years to complete and he tried over and over to make seed where more would have the J1 pheno but said it couldn't be done. There is a pheno in there that looks exactly like the J1 but it is the fake one and is not the same potency. It's only the same in structure. J1 is easily the best and most potent strain that i've ever smoked. The project started in the 80's and wasn't completed until the mid 90's and the only stock left is from 1998. He gave me that stock when he realized that I really know what I'm talking about when it comes to growing high quality cannabis and he knew how interested I was in breeding from all the questions I would ask him. We would talk for many hours when we would see each other. He was kept hidden from me from one of my old friends for many years in fear of what I may gain from him.

The Columbian Gold came from 1973 seed stock directly from the product. The rest came from Sensi Seeds old stock.

The bud structure of the J1 pheno is thai from the way that it "runs" (foxtails). The smell is sort of Haze-like and hard to describe but it's effects are Sativa and very potent and long lasting. He told me that Columbian Gold was the most potent weed he ever smoked and the J1 is the only thing that comes close to it. He said no one really knows how potent the Columbian Gold ever was but he did because he grew it in Greece with no males and he said that when it wasn't seeded, it was more potent. He said people would think he was lacing joints and he would laugh so hard every time he told me that story. He would laugh so hard when I would bring up clone only's like OG's or White and say those guys are a bunch of idiots and things of this nature. He said those guys think those cuts are good because they've never had the real deal before. The guy was a real character and I really liked him but we had to part ways because of some disagreements and we are both very head strong. I still have loads of respect for him. Anyway, the high of the J1 lasted for hours and would leave this pressure in the back of your head like someone was holding your head. It was soaring high with no ceiling and a real nice taste. She wanted to be grown in flower with 13 hours of dark and 11 hours of light. To this day he has never told me why. She finishes by 75 days but may finish earlier given the right conditions. She likes a more packed soil with less perlite. She can also yield but her buds may not be crazy dense but full enough.

I could be wrong but he was trying to make his own version of Super Silver Haze and wasn't satisfied with the path that the creator chose so he made his own. At least that's how I understand it as of now. He also crossed the J1 to Neville's Haze to make what he called Haze3 but it takes about 10 days longer than J1 but is another amazing strain with a soaring effect and yields more than the J1. He gave me all his Haze3 Stock as well and the 1973 Columbian.
