OK, a weekly update.....

First, the unsexed C99 showing a little def. 2 days ago,I added some epsom salt and bumped up the nutes. It's already coming back greener.

Darkgreen...so WhiteRhino, not WhiteWidow, was used in the original cross. Glad that's sorted. I knew Emery had one crossed with the Widow.

So, they are growing nicely, nice and green. Not showing any defs as of yet. I've been watering them sparingly, no nutes yet as they are in a 50/50 promix/manure mix. Proly won't need nutes, until well into flower. I'm gunna try and use up the PBP bloom ferts with these.

I have a few female Fed Rom's just starting flower now.. I thought they were short branchy plants? mine are pretty tall. Taller than all my other indicas..

I have to take a picture 2morrow, 1 of them is like 2 1/2 ft. tall at day 5 of flower and after 1 month of veg no side shoots strange as WW and WR both are very branchy.. anyway I will be checking out your girls for sure.. grow safe Silly..

Boy I must have been stoned I was watering the girls and noticed the tall no branch girl is Blockhead not Rom... all of my Rom's are still in veg, I have no room for clones from them so I must wait.

Update time. They are all a little thirsty at the time of these pics, and starting to show a little N def on a few. I watered good with 1/4 strength nutes. Here is the stunted one making a strong comeback.

So it continues.....

They are all a little underfed, and wanting to stretch their legs. Soon as the last ones show sex, they are going into bigger containers, and under the HPS. Also, I'm fighting a mite infestation at the moment, but nothing too bad.

And here is a SOL Blockhead clone I've had going for a year or so. Lemon/Fuel pheno just for fun. SHe's about 7 weeks. Not sure when I'm gunna take her this time. Maybe next week.

Heh heh...sup guys? Come on in core, have a seat. Have a toke of this here blockhead. She's not exactly a heavy yielder, but what she lacks in weight, she makes up for in potency and taste. I got the lemon/fuel pheno. Very greasy resin production. This time, I took her at 56 dayz. I have usually let her go 70. Just wanted to try something different with her this round. Mostly clear, with a few turning cloudy.

Hey bergerbuddy ..what's shakin'? In my best Dr. Evil voice....It's friggin cold up here in the North East LoL! I'm not exactly, what most would call a strain whore. But the patients I grow for, are increasingly more demanding. Seems they are becoming pot snobs hahahah! But I do enjoy the challenge that differing strains bring me. Some are picky...others you can throw stump remover on them and they ask for more. I have Cali-O coming up next week, and behind her, are two more block heads. Then MasterKush..which I pollinated a few buds with Romulan, then C99. After that..who knows? Just sprouted a few AK99's. They should be fun.

Anyways...I usually update here on tuesday nights...but I got home late from work tonight, so the girls are asleep right now. Nothing much to report anyways. I put two girls in 2gallon square pots, and the last just showed me her pubes. She'll be going in the same square pot here in a few days. The fastest girl got dusted with pollen, the other two I'm just gunna let do their thing.

Oh yeah, almost forgot...the free love I started in the beginning, turned out male, so I culled him I took clones from the fastest female rom, and the one stout male I earmarked for breeding.

Sorry core...I'm not gunna put my truck up here. Security through obscurity my friend.

It's been 10 dayz in the flowering room. The last one showed sex about a week ago. So she has been in flower three dayz behind.

First up, the pregnant girl. There's somethin' about a pregnant lady...soo sexy! She still smells as if a cat sprayed piss all over her. Actually all three of them share this trait. As you can plainly see, they are showing their sativa side pretty fast. Stretch is almost over. I'd say about twice the height so far, and a little more to go.

Next is #4 female

Here's the last girl to show sex.

Remember the C99 from the beginning? Well, here she is, in all her bitchy splendor. Vegged like an Indica, flowering like a sativa. She was bitchy in veg(couldn't go above 400ppm), and even more crabby in flower. Maybe it's just me, I'm not used to dealing with sativas much. She gets cranky if her Ph goes over 6.2 or ppm goes over 600. I have another clone of her vegging now, almost ready to come sit by her side. I know her moods, so the next one won't look so bad.

And just to keep this interesting...I'll show ya what I got coming up. First, here's the C99 clone I was talking about...surrounded by cousins.

And as promised from the last grow I participated in, here's the Hill Temple Skunk IBL(Skunky Pheno) clone. I have a fruity one as well...but I'm partial to this one.

And last...for now..is some BubbaKush(Katsus)XDeepChunk...aka...Bubba Chunk. Nothing to look at yet..they just germed last night, so I plunked 'em in the beer cups. These are testers for another thread.

I repotted the AK99's...the beer cups were drying out every day. The left one in the big pot, is my new C99 mum.

And for all you RKS lovers out there...here is a little something sent to me as a surprise gift She is a little stinker for sure...but true RKS? We'll see in a few months. She had a few issues adapting...but settling in comfy now.

Packing on more weight. Sorry about the dark pics. I'm working on the camera skillz. Someday I'll get a real lighting device Also...they were attacked pretty good by mites and I just got around to mixing up some of the mite eradicator. Works pretty good...even tho I was a little lax on getting to them earlier.

The smell on these girls...sadly...has all but dissappeared They started out smellin' very piney in veg...then like cat piss in early flower....now they each smell like earth... with a fruity undertone. Very dissappointing to say the least. I was hoping for the piney pheno. Oh well....if the potency is there it won't be a total loss. Makes me wonder about the origins of these beans. The guy I got them from was let down as well. He's into the taste and smell also. Don't get me wrong....medication is medication and will be put to good use. But after all I heard about this strain....it's a bit of a let down not to get what I thought I was getting. But like they say....never look a gift horse in the mouth right?

mmmmh it could take a little longer for them 2 give out there sent.....pitty though ...a realy strong smell is mostly a good sign of potency...imho that is...not for all strains that i smoked is this the rule...

BTW did you cut them like that or did they just grow 1 cola style?

I started flowering them when they were 18 inches tall. I did not top....just let them do their thang. Whenever I grow out a new strain...that's what I do. Just to see what method I will use next time...if there even is a next time. Besides...dontcha think they are prettier au natural?

If the smells are any sign of potency...then these girls are losing it quick lol My buddy grew the exact seedline out...said they were still potent tho. I'm gunna let these go for another 4 weeks I think. They are leaning a little on the sativa side. They have doubled exactly in height since the onset of flowering. So they are 1 meter tall.

Every report I've seen...they mention the piney smell. I'm wondering who made this cross and what they actually used? Because the piney smell all but dissappeared when they started to flower. Which leads me to believe this is a hack cross. Oh well...besides all that...it was fun watching it grow out. Besides the mites, I had no major issues with them. They weren't picky at all and have showed me a good structure, sturdy and hearty. Plus...all 5 plants were nearly identical up 'till they showed sex.

I dusted a very nice MasterKush with the pollen I got from the fast showing male. Maybe this will add a little flavor and better bouquet to this Romulan. Perhaps I'll test them outside this year. I got hundreds of beans already dried and ready to be tested.

i some cases is natural better....it depends realy...not that i have so mutch exp...but yield is a huge factor in this branche as you know...i'm just asking coz i have some romulans in the genecollection...but now i kno there growstyle if i might pop'm someday...

yea maybe you should keep them running a little while longer ..untill the trichs go amber...maybe it is't so bad as you think...

Yeah Core, yield may be important to many ppl here. When I'm testing a strain, I'm not so worried about yield. I'm more concerned with...in order of importance.... germ rates, plant structure, ease of growth, feeding peculiarities, smell, taste, potency. It is during test grows that determine the style I think the plant is best suited for. The clone run will be the real proving grounds. I think this plant will be well suited for SOG, as there was not much branching as you see. If it proves itself with medicinal value, I'll keep her around for a while. If not...eh, no big deal. One more on the pile of plants that didn't pass my requirements.
