Keeper: If ya "dry" it with the pressing screen over some cardboard, it'll get a shit ton of the water out of the bubble.
I keep movin the screen onto fresh cardboard and flipping the pile to get the wettest stuff onto the screen.
The hash is too big to fit through the 5u pressing screen and the cardboard will wick wayy more water than you can imagine. You just keep having to move the screen to dry areas to keep it efficient. We've smoked runs done in this fashion, slowly chopping and flipping the pile constantly, within hours of doing the run.
You get that "sandy" look to the hash this way and have the benefit of knowing the hash has all of the water out of it because of how much surface area has been exposed. Also, once completely dry, I suggest pressing it for storage unless you are consuming it quickly. You only want that much surface area exposed for drying.
After that pressing it will keep the majority of it from oxidizing (gets darker) like the outside of pressed import hash you see on the boards. Done properly it leaves a nice thin layer of dark hash on the outside and, depending on strain and pull time blonde to peanut butter colored inside when you break it open. It will retain much more flavor and smell long term which will be exposed when you bust the pressed stuff open
