Putting out fresh pistills after a week of frosts is a bit optimistic , missed this one in october and its done well to survive poor weather since.

Rich deep shades in low angle winter sunlight , natural shift to red gives a warm look uncorrected .

Heating the rootzone and letting the dark air temps go cold works for me , the Antipodes cross all show cold colour under this regime , around half are dark in a hot room.

This expression finishes with gold withered pistills on a deep purple/mauve tight bud and has some visual appeal.
