EXTRAordinarily colorful herbs

I'm not offended by someone saying it doesn't look real. Most people don't think it looks real when they are holding it in their hand. That picture above was taken yesterday on the counter of an Oregon dispensary with an iphone.

The picture below may look more real to you, it was taken with a better camera, a Canon 70D.

I live just across the river from Portland (legal grower in WA)...how can I get my hands on a clone of that? Even if it doesn't smoke the best that would be cool as shit to see in my garden.

And ya my comment was meant in no way to be offensive....it sounds like you've heard it enough to understand it wasn't.

Gil, genetics are currently unavailable for Sirius Black. In Oregon the popular strains such as GG#4 & GS Cookies have arrived and their authenticity has been shot to hell. We don't want the same thing to happen to Sirius Black so we are holding on to the genetics for now.

Chonosync, the purple is in the genetics, it does not need to be cold stressed. As for potency, the latest test was 23.95% THC. It's highest test so far has been 25.35% THC.

Aksala, I know you weren't being offensive. It was a valid observation. This strain is less than a year old and the looks of it amaze me every harvest. Also, Sirius Black just happens to be on the front cover of the Washington based "NW Leaf" Magazine. And as I mentioned above, the genetics are currently unavailable, only the flower is available at Oregon dispensaries.

You can also find out a little bit more about this strain by going to High Times dot com and typing in their search box "Oregon Breeders Group" or "Sirius Black". And there is also a full page picture of Sirius Black on the current hard copy of High Times magazine (May edition) page 144.

Thanks for listening.

Aksala, the Oregon Breeders Group is breeding to isolate and advance the medical properties of the marijuana plant. We do things a little different than most breeders.

Now that you've brought up this awesome topic of why the Oregon Breeders Group is not releasing clones and seeds of Sirius Black at this time, maybe I could get a little feedback from you and the other breeders on how to solve our problem. (if there's already been a discussion on this site about this problem I'm about to discuss, please point me to that thread, thanks.)

THE PROBLEM: It's been brought to our attention that Sirius Black is being used as an anti-anxiety medication by a few Oregon Medical Marijuana Patients. This allows them to avoid using dangerous drugs like Xanax and Klonopin. Because of this we believe that it is imperative that when a medical patient buys Sirius Black at an Oregon dispensary, they get the authentic Sirius Black that was grown organically, with no pesticides, and that the dispensary has signed certification paperwork from the Oregon Breeders Group to show the customer that the current batch is authentic.

Here's an example of what we don't want to happen:

If an Oregon Medical Marijuana Patient found that GG#4 helped them with a medical condition, they would find out that if they visited 5 different Oregon dispensaries that carried GG#4, they would find 5 different strains of high quality flower that looked, smelled and tasted different. And to make matters worse, the 5 different bud tenders would have absolutely now way of knowing if they have the authentic GG#4 or just a very high quality bud that was falsely named GG#4 because the grower knew he could get top dollar for it, and that it would be easier to sell if it was named GG#4.

If there is a realistic way to release seeds and clones to the general public and keep the integrity of the strain intact, let me know...I'm all ears.

Thanks for listening.

I belive that poticular battle is un winnable.

The people at the heart of the problem are without proper ethics.
Those that will rename and lie about pesticides don't give two shits wether there actions reflect badly on anyone else.

Plus those same peps will S1, Bx and rename your best offerings just bc they grew it sooo shifty it didn't resemble your pref pheno discription...the list of shenanagins goes on and on

It has to do w ethics of our comunity and greed.

The only hope may b in terps or DNA mapping.

My only solution was to grow it myself. We just have to choose our seeds wisely so as to support those we feel are doing things right.

It's great to see you and your circle are working to inprove the integrity of your comunity.
Through education and respect we will make it to the other side of this issue.

Keep up the breeding and seeding.
Big ups respect and happy growing.

I get where you are coming from..but if there was ever a strain that is easily recognizable as legit or not...that masterpiece would be it. I've struggled with anxiety most of my life and I've noticed the purple strains tend to be the most help so that makes sense that's what it's being used for.

I do love the super high THC strains I just have to be careful...if I get too high it's not a comfortable situation for me.

Nice to see people running TRC genetics. My brother married Lonestar's daughter, we plan on bringing back as much as we can from TRC. I'm not 100% sure if Karen still exist..

We germed 7 of the last 10 seeds of Bordello and my brother's son drank them.. Lol so it's that easy to lose a strain..
