Just keeping the legacy going in my own way.
The F13 X A11 is just my way of keeping two legendary "dead" strains going.

I killed off the six F13 x A11 males today after collecting pollen.
Here's the 3 survivors of the gangbang,
A11-#10, A11-GPC, & A11-#6

Below is the collected pollen. I stretched 3 layers of cheese cloth around a frame. The frame is placed on a pre-creased sheet of wax paper on a tray.
After removing flower husks and debris from the frame and tray, I carefully remove the frame.
Here's what we got.

this is now filtered a 2nd time thru a jelly-making filter. what comes thru on the initial pass is then collected and divied-up into small wax paper packets w/ rice. This will go in the fridge for a few days, then into the freezer.
I then collect some more from the jelly sack, giving it a couple of wacks. I don't run it all thru, plenty comes thru with minor agitation. My concern is contaminates from the husk/flowers.
Want to keep the pollen as pure as possible.
That's how I do it!

Time to chuck that mylar! :biglaugh:

Awwww yeeeeeaaaaah, botanical moneyshots right there. F13 X A11....please say these aren't going to the bay? I'm officially planned up for the next year or so with beans I've already got...honestly have more beans then I know what to do with and I've only started the result of the first of many planned crosses. But if I cave,it'll be for these....

ICING ON THE CAKE!

ICING ON THE CAKE!

LOL, spiralofeyes, I know just where you're coming from!
I don't even surf SB/Boo anymore unless it's to reference something.

Offers of seeds fall to the wayside more times than not, I have blinders on, staying on task. My vision quest requires it.
I have seeds bought that I'll never run, tho I'm trying hard to make them all work for me.

The beauty of making a thread like this public, is attracting like-minded peeps. New friends are made.
The results of such a friendship arrived in the post today.

What we have here is Columbian Punto Rojo pollen.
Within a half hr. of receiving it, one of these vials was used on every pistil of the following 21 day old flowering plants.
These are the last cuts I have of these plants, I've let them all go, to live on in seed-form & pollen.
These have been fighting for the light of the UFO LED I use in my wardrobe, and all had to be topped.
Topping really shows off the branchiness of the Apollo's.
Here's A11-GPC ( I believe you now, Bi0 )

Here's A11-#10

And here's Chaco's Haze

Being a longer-flowering sativa, she wasn't as far into flower as the A11's, but enough pistils to make many seeds!

After pollinating, I finished cleaning the "pollen room" that was thick w/ the F13 x A11 dust. Glad I'm done for a while w/ this chore.
The 3 new recipients were then brought in, joining the other three Apollo girls.

This gifted pollen was the icing on the cake of this yr's breeding season! Now we are truly winding things down.
A big thank you to my new amigo!

^ Oh ya... I support more Landrace genetics in the Apollo Mix =]

Some info on Punta Rojo (Landrace)

"Translated as 'red point' from Spanish, Punta Rojo is a very high energy pure Sativa that was regarded as a boutique speciality kept by the local farmers as a favourite for personal use. This line was selected from the best of the regions Punta Rojos cultivars and represents everything that is great in natural Colombian Cannabis. This strain is one of the most rare and special of Colombian highland Sativas.

Uncontrollable laughter has been known to occur, particularly with users new to the pure Sativa experience. Daytime use can give the user an edgy, racy feeling that could lead to undue paranoia but becoming more familiar with its effects can subdue that tendency. Heartbeat is increased with sweaty palms and forehead usually from fully matured, outdoor grown samples. Night time use can readily prevent sleep as the mind is too active to fully relax. It is very potent natural medicine to be treated with respect.

This special line is wonderful herbal inspiration for musician's, writer's, and artists. Flavours range from a mango type fruitiness to a spiciness that defies description with a swirl of semi-familiar notes. A tropical pot-pourri that requires an extensive cure to calm down a hay like harshness at harvest. Effect is generally not immediate and may seduce the user to take in more than necessary while waiting on its arrival.

The delayed, creeper onset can result in disorientation and momentary confusion over everyday situations. This smooths out beautifully as the elevator effect takes the smoker out of their mundane concerns and replaces any adverse condition of one's attitude with a feeling of happiness and positive mental outlook that stimulates the creative centre of the brain and motivates the user to accomplish the day's tasks with composed energy."

Thanks for that, Bi0! What's the source?

FYI, this Punto Rojo male is a stud. Besides being the stud used in Cannabiogen's 'Punta Rosa', there are some other sweet X's available @ the SB Server Fund Raiser offerings. A win/win buy for everyone. ;)

HL,

Anytime. It was the description from Breeder's choice F1 of Punto Rojo:

I somehow left out this part of the description "A truly world class breeding line and a connoisseur cultivators dream. " =]

Here are some other Landraces that could be used in Apollo or other breeding projects - if you are looking to go back to the pure forms. Which would be so incredible =]

Landraces Details (The regions of origin for pure cannabis genetics - or as close to pure as possible):

Marijuana, Cannabis sativa L., is an annual plant that was thought in the past being a member of the great family of the Urticaceae. Hemp grows from the Equator to the Sub-Arctic areas of the world: marijuana is indeed a wild grass "domesticated" by man for his various needs. All modern marijuana hybrids derive from seeds coming from the following regions of Origin (landraces list follows):

a) Brazil (Sativa) (0° to 30° south latitude). Strain: Brazilian Lemons (Sativa), the local "Maconha" also called "diamba" in Yoruba, the African-Brazilian language spoken by Candomblè communities in Recife. In Brazil it's also widespread a Paraguayan weed type named "Faso".
b) Colombia (Sativa) (Equator). Strains: Punta Roja (Purple tops), Cali Hills, Choco, Lowland, Santa Marta Gold and Panama Gold (Sativa).
c) Congo (Sativa) (Equator). Strain: Local marijuana (Sativa)
d) Afghanistan and Pakistan (Indica) (30° to 37° North latitude). Strains: all deriving names from regions of Origin: Hash plants Mazar-i-Sharif, Kandahaar, Citral and Hindu Kush are types of cannabis Indica-Afganica grown for hashish production.
e) Southern India (Sativa) (10° to 20° latitude North). Tropical. Strain: Ganja from Kerala, Madras and Mysore (Sativa).
f) Jamaica (Sativa) (18° North latitude). Tropical. Strain: local hybrids of Caribbean, Colombian and Mexican strains imported into the island (Sativa).
g) Kenya (Sativa) (Equator). Strain: Marijuana from Kisumu (Sativa).
h) Lebanon (Indica) (34° North latitude). Temperate. Strain: Hash plant (Indica) related to Hindu Kush strain.
i) Malawi (Sativa) (Equator). Strain: potent Marijuana local (Sativa).
j) Mexico (Sativa) (15° to 27° North latitude). Subtropical. Strain: Chapanera, Guerrera, Nayarit, Michoacan, Oaxaca, Acapulco Gold e Yucatan Gold (Sativa).
k) Rif Mountains valleys, Morocco (Indica) (35° North latitude). Temperate. Strain: Hash plant related to Hindu Kush and Lebanon (Indica).
l) Nepal (Indica) (26° to 30° North latitude). Subtropical. Strain: typical indigenous hash plant (Indica).
m) Russia (Ruderalis) (35° to 60° latitude North). Temperate and Arctic. Strain: Cannabis spontanica, Strain: Ruderalis.
n) South Africa (Sativa) (22° to 35° south latitude). Temperate. Strain: Dagga, local spontanica (Sativa).
o) Southeast Asia (Sativa) (10° to 20° North latitude). Subtropical. Strain: Cambodian, Laotian, Thai and Vietnamese (Sativa).

Wow 72 days - that should be a little sedating for A11. I had take down some at 51-53 days which are like a nice strong haze high, with almost zero tolerance build up, overly happy this will give you a permanent grin on your face regardless of the mood you were in prior to smoking. It is perfect summer weed, the movement of wind over the trees, grass and environments becomes this paradise feeling of serenity and peacefulness. But at 51-53 god damn does it have a stimulant kick in the background, but never really racy or jittery.. Those cut during that time is true Get Things Done herb, you may find yourself cleaning your house for hours on end =]

Headie mind in outerspace harvest zones are more towards 57-62 days.

Definitely interested to see how the high on your 72 day flowered apollo plays out =)

Welcome Chili_berkster, thank for posting your girl, always nice to check out other Apollo's!

Chaco, welcome back, you SOB! :D
That Apollo is great summer weed, a good diversion from your haze.
You still keep those 'Flying Tiger's'? Real interested on your take on them. She's become popular @ work.

Pretty great pot day for me! Chaco's back, got rained out of work, and I've got the following plants to take down.

First we'll start off with the twins. This is A11 #10 and A11-GPC @ 64 days loaded with seed from C-99.

Here's the other twins, Apollo Trip #4 & #5 @ 94 days, loaded with Haze seed.

Here's the A11-GPC @ 94 days too, again laden w/ Haze seed.

Here's A11 #6 @ 67 days, heavy w/ Haze seed.

I left my cam in a buddy's car 4 hrs. away. He'll be visiting next month, so I'm using my old cam. Couldn't find the "macro" lens during the shoot, "next time".

I went "bareback" into the flower room with the Flying Tigers, meaning no Eagle 20 and I found a few PM spots down low so I had to whack 'em.I had one cocaine OG do the same thing and it all happened just after we had that big 3 day rain from the SE.The FT's were jamming too but I was too worried about it spreading, I'm trying to go light on the Eagle but in my climate its a tough call, sometimes you do fine, others, lets not talk about it!!PM will ruin ya' here in the coastal zone, ocean storms and fog.Stuff loves it, it avoids the haze rather well though.I didn't Eagle the Apollo either.

Bummer, but I got plenty of samples for ya next time our paths cross. :D
When I grew out the Golden Tiger's I had PM too.
Dubi said the Malawi is a PM magnet.
Today's a prime day for it, humid after the rain, spring pollen & spores wafting all about.
