I think its best to focus on the basics such as eating well, hydration, good sleep, staying on schedule, a regimen of supplements to cover nutritional needs and provide other benefits such as antioxidants and body cleansing. Lowering stress and maintaining social connections can be very helpful. Cannabinoid therapy is key of course.

In my opinion lectins has less influence than doing the right things which promote overall wellness. Body pH can be maintained through proper hydration, your body regulates the pH of every cell itself.

PH may be more significant for preventing cancer than psoriasis.

Got some supplments today. Going to try an ozonated activated charcoal-based cleanser called 'Toxin Binder' and one called 'Vein Health' which helps circulation.

Did a search to see if the activated charcoal would reduce THC in my body, and mess with its use as a medicine. I will have to try, I bet it will be alright.

The lady who owns a local hemp product shop said she puts mushroom powder in coffee and its good. I need to try it.

Thanks for the reminder. I still have some reishi tincture left as well as fermented reishi capsules.

Flareups are more common in the winter.

Taking 5000 IU Vitamin D / day.

The lecithin and beet root powder helps.

There is a product called Vein Health at Global Healing may benefit psoriasis because its a vasodialator like beet root. Trying it out.

Yemaya Sea moss from St. Lucious was an interesting supplement to try. It woke me up and gave me a boost. It has iodine and is full of vitamins and minerals at low concentrations but they seem to be highly bio-available.

Thanks for the tip, I’ve found similar effects from chlorella and spirulina (fresh water algae). Damage to the small intestine from autoimmune response causes reduced uptake of nutrients so I think nutrient dense supplements are a necessary to avoid malnutrition. Vit b1 is absorbed in the small intestine.

Yeah pH of cells has to be constantly maintained, so if you can make it more alkaline, the extra acid produced during normal cell functions isn't as much burden on the system to correct it which may weaken the cell's energy.

So put some milk in your coffee I guess. Maybe the mushroom would make my coffee more alkaline.

i´m not sure milk is alkaline. My guess is it´s acidic.
I use alkaline ionized water to make my coffee to buffer it a little. I use this water a lot and drink it straight too. It hydrates the body better than regular water. I didn´t understand what this means until I actually tried it out for myself. The effect really took me by surprise.

Drinking plenty of water can help balance pH. Stay hydrated with purified water. I drink about a quart when I wake up and. Every time I use the restroom, I make sure to drink a little water.

Do you mean de-ionized? Water is naturally ionic I think. It has positive and negative charge.

Where do you get ionized water? Do you make it yourself or do you have to purchase it?

I have a water ionizer which separates the ions , it´s a 2 container one. The ions are separated during the process and one container then holds the water with negative ions (the alkaline) and the other holds the positive ions.
It´s a very straightforward and simple little device :)

There is no easier way to help your ph level imo.
(didn´t come cheap though :( )

I would think if your body is working correctly, pH should be naturally regulated. Your body can heal itself, it just needs to have adequate vitamins and minerals, proper regimen of diet and sleep. Supplements that help detoxify the body and promote healthy digestion will help minimize most diseases.

Iodine and selenium help support the immune system as well as Vitamin D and vitamin C among other antioxidants.

How to make your own CBD balm
Photo by: Gina Coleman/WeedmapsCBD balms, also called CBD salves, have become popular supplemental treatments for muscle pain, inflammation, and skin conditions.
In this step-by-step guide, you'll learn how to make your own CBD balm at home and how to choose the best ingredients for pain relief.

How do you make your own CBD balm?

Dr. Melanie Bone, board-certified OB-GYN and cannabis specialist, summed up the process this way: “To make your own CBD balm, you need to put a concentrated form of CBD into a carrier oil such as coconut oil or jojoba oil as well as a beeswax base for structure. After melting these together at low heat (such as the top of a double boiler), the secret sauce is the addition of essential oils and other additives to make it more effective.”
Time needed: 40 minutes
Use the following steps to make your own CBD balm at home.
  1. Gather the ingredients and supplies
Here are the ingredients you will need to make your own CBD balm:
1 cup coconut or other carrier oil
    ⅓ cup beeswax
Full-spectrum CBD concentrate (consult your medical professional about dosage)
5 drops of the essential oil of your choice
    Few drops of menthol (optional)

You'll also need the following supplies:
Saucepan or double boiler (make one by placing a heat-proof bowl over a pot of simmering water)
    Glass jar
    Cheesecloth
  2. Blend the CBD into the oil
Blend the CBD concentrate into 1 cup of carrier oil
  3. Melt the carrier oil mixture and beeswax
Turn heat on stovetop to low and melt 1/3 cup of beeswax and the carrier oil mixture in the saucepan or double boiler.
  4. Heat for 25 minutes
Continue to heat on low for approximately 25 minutes, stirring occasionally if using a double boiler. If using a saucepan with no double boiler, stir frequently to prevent sticking or burning.
  5. Add essential oil(s) and menthol
Remove the mixture from heat and add essential oil(s) and menthol, if using
  6. Pour mixture through cheesecloth into jar
Set the cheesecloth over the jar. Taking care not to spill the hot mixture, pour it through the cheesecloth and into the jar.
  7. Seal jar and store
Seal jar and store in a cool, dark place until ready to use. Do not refrigerate.
When choosing an essential oil for your CBD balm, be aware that different terpenes in essential oils may exert different effects on the body. “For example, using lavender can make the balm more soothing. Adding lemon may help with mood, while peppermint may boost energy,” said Bone.
Proper storage is essential to maintain your CBD balm. “The balm needs to be stored in a container that will neither interact with the product nor allow heat or light in to degrade it,” Bone stated.
Keeping the balm sealed tightly in a glass jar in a cool, dark area should help maintain freshness and potency. Do not refrigerate or freeze CBD balms.

How do you make a pain relief balm?

Making a pain relief balm involves the same exact steps listed above for a basic CBD balm. The only difference is that you can add certain ingredients reputed to have pain-relieving properties.
cbd balm for pain relief
Photo by: Gina Coleman/WeedmapsThere are some ingredients you can add to a CBD balm to make it potentially more pain-relieving, especially for general muscle aches and conditions like arthritis.
There are some ingredients you can add to a CBD balm to make it potentially more pain-relieving, especially for general muscle aches and conditions like arthritis. “Adding products such as menthol or emu oil can make a product that is good to use on muscle tenderness,” Bone suggested.
  • Menthol is an active ingredient in many pain and muscle relief medications. Derived from different types of mint, menthol has an initial cooling effect on the skin followed by a warming sensation, which can soothe achy muscles.
  • Emu oil contains fatty acids, which may have the ability to decrease pain and inflammation. The oil is made from the fat of the emu, a flightless bird native to Australia.
Other natural ingredients and essential oils may also enhance the pain relief potential of a CBD balm:
  • Ginger is reputed to help with digestive issues. Mixing in some ginger and rubbing on your abdomen could ease stomach cramps.
  • Cloves are frequently used to soothe dental discomfort. You can mix whole cloves or clove essential oil and rub on your jaw if you're experiencing a toothache.
  • Peppermint may help ease headaches, in addition to boosting energy. Blend in some peppermint oil and apply the balm to your temples to ease a tension headache. (Be careful not to get it too close to your eyes.)
CBD balms custom-made for pain relief may offer skin-soothing benefits for psoriasis and eczema thanks to the moisturizing carrier oils employed in the recipe.
