Exhausting into same room with open window?

2400 is going to be hard to hide unless they are REALLY high or you are really lucky

why don't you try heating the rest of the house with it?

that may be true depending on where he lives. i can tell you that in colorado (at least at my house) i don't have any issues with it at all

You are right guys, its too risky to do it in my house, concerning my grandpas. I decided to do it in my apartment and since noise is the biggest issue, i am gonna make mdf boxes for my fans, line them with soundproof materials, use bigger ducting than the diameter of the exhaust fans and silencers. If it's nescesary i will use speed controllers too (or variacs would be better?).

Would i be able to do 4x600w vertical in a 7x7 growtent with 5-6 plants surrounding each 600w bulb, vegging for 2 months? Or i should opt for horizontal grow? I really wanna try vertical once more, but i would not like space issues.

I would honestly try to keep it simple. Do what you want, but I recommend just running a vented 1000 watt. Or a couple 400 or 600s in sequence. If you aren't experienced enough at growing to get tons of pot, you will be doing a lot of work for no reason. A good grower can get 10X the amount of pot a newbie gets. If you keep it simple you will have an easier time controlling your environment.

I guess you are right bro, no need to do it over-complicated! But 2400 watts for one plant seems like a lot to me!

I plan on using organic soil mix of mine which has worked perfectly in the past. I have cooked 80 gallons of it in my apartment. Blumats will be a new addition in my setup.

How many plants would you suggest for a space that is 49 square feet in total? The ideal would be to finish in 3-3.5 months. Max 4-4.5 with two months veg. I have made my mind to use cooltubes, growing horizontally. Vertical may be too much concerning heat and other issues for a newbie like me .

I have the option to either grow autoflowers (big autos such as Magnum, Think Different, Blue Automazar) or photos. Thanks for any suggestions.

I had to grow like this for years using tents in apartments. It all comes done to outside air temps or inside air temps. If you can run A/C in the whole house and cool the room that way or if it is winter and you can let some below freezing air chill the room that way from the window.

I was actually heating parts of the house during winter with the heated air coming off the bulbs.

Hello Benny, i did this in the past too. My apartment was very hot with 4x600w being extracted in it.

Setup

I finally made up my mind for growing 2 trees only. I am going to expand my grow tent and make it 10x7x7 in dimensions from 7x7, which it is now. I was thinking about a setup like this:

o are lamps, x are plants

o...x...o...x...o

Besides these 3 vertical bulbs between the bulbs, i was thinking hanging 2x600w with cooltubes above them. So, that would be equal to 3000w in flower for those 2 plants (3x600w vert, 2x600w horizontal with cooltubes).

Ventilation

I am thinking about cooling the bulbs in the cooltubes with 2 5" exhaust fans, each rated at 200 CFM. And use 3x450 CFM exhaust fans for exhaust. For intake, i was thinking either active intake with 2x5" exhaust fans (200 CFM each).

Temps from outside will be around 60 F. Do you think this is doable, having 3000w in a grow tent 10x7 without having a/c?

Veg

I am thinking about vegging these plants with the 2x600 in the cooltubes and a 600w vertically hung between them. Veg for 2 months with organic soil.

Flower

As stated above, 3000w will be used in flower, 3 bulbs in a row vertically, 2 above them in cooltubes.

Strains

I ordered Critical Jack, White Panther, Sticky Wonder, El Alquimista and Blue Dream. I only need 2 seeds, but ordered 3 more of various strains, just in case...

A second plan i have in mind is not to expand my grow tent, keep it at its original size, 7x7. If i go that way, i will flower 4 plants, with 4 cooltubes, horizontally. If i go this route i am thinking of SCROG, giving to each of those plants 1x1 m under 600w cooltubed, each. Which of the 2 ways would you follow if you were me?
