yeah i'm guilty D... I strayed a bit,
but thinking if its just the HID generated heat for the house thats the goal
then use only the heat from the source?

well its an option anyways :)

you don't need to spend a penny on a whole house dehuey if you just do what i posted on the 1st page
and it negates all the other probs and you only add another inline for the filter if your set with your xaust already

Sure, depends on the exterior temp.

What happens in an unseasonably warm humid winter?

Anyway, if he's not running a large enough load light/heatwise it might not heat the outside air enough, then he'll have to slow air exchange allowing humidity buildup, and...

If hes running a huge light load with aquaponics, veggies and his flowers i can assure you its a lot of water and even in a cold dry winter it will overload the airs water holding capacity.

Appropriately sized dehumidifiers and air conditioners are about the most important investments.

A few 1ks would lead to 5-10 gallons of water a day in the form of vapor from plants tranpirating and fish tanks bubbling.

if he runs a sealed system like i'm thinking of he can pull/source air from inside the house or from outside. and then you only condition the air in the grow room, not the entire house.
but your right, one way or another with aquaponics and all that going on in the grow room, the air in or coming off that room for use in the house will have to be conditioned one way or another.
