exhausting in a basement

I'm trying to cool some 1000w cool tubes from a basement closet, what is my best bet? Its my first time setting up something this big, just ducting and a couple 6 inch inline fans will be good right? I'm gonna need some kinda carbon filter on the exhaust side, how many fans should use for 2 cool tubes? intake and exhaust?

Two cool tubes you shouldnt need more than one, could have carbon filter <-cool tube <-duct <-cool tube <- fan. Just Large enough inline fan to do the job and you'll be good.

Basements, especially unfinished, are damp by nature. Exhaust the grow to the outside, you don't need any more humidity than you already have.

Fan wise, just as sure as God makes the sun rise in the morning, you will go bigger. The cost difference between a 6" and 10" is not that monumental. The 6" fan has an opening of 88.74 square inches--------the 10" is 248.06 square inches or 2.80 times more than the 6". Do the math, cost out a 6" (Elicient and Vortex as a reference) and multiply that cost x 2.80. More bang for the buck and the 10" won't get side lined for lack of performance that you will need down the road. Remember that your grow area is common to the basement and its inherent humidity, there are a lot of cubic feet in that basement that needs to be exhausted to expel naturally occurring humidity plus the grow humidity.

+ uh dehumidifier,if running it outside is a security risk.If ya can't aford it now, maybe after yer first crop.Although the colder it gets here the more the humidity goes down so if yer ina cold climate the extra humidity in the coldest months may be a welcome thing.Maybe jus run it inside anyway? There! did I confuse ya even more... lol j/k Ya gotta think these things through sometimes, and btw don't let anyone ever tell ya Black Domonia isn't strong pot.lol Good luck! Take care...BC

if u have a house with a fireplace look for the old shoot for ashes and vent through chimney put flexduct in actual fire place to chimney paint the flex flat black there will be no leaks into house and you'll be exhausting out your roof im in a basement too with 1400 watts soon to be 3800 watts and this setup will easily exhaust the room the fan is on a dimmer switch so i can use power as needed hope this helps you out.since these pics ive added another peice of flex from the fan to between the lights

I did something similar myself. I just knocked a brick out of my chimney and put up a flange to attach the flex.

Jus be carefull...

I've used the chimney at couple diffrent places,it worked very well. You have to make sure if you tag in to the chimney you do it above any Co2 ducts that may be commin in,like fer the hot water heater or furnace. If you were ta run it below them you could very well be pushin Co2 out in the room, this could be dangerous.Take care...BC

Wouldn't that be a good thing unless of course you mean carbon monoxide not dioxide(CO2)? One is great and one kills.

I do think it was Carbon monoxide, CO he meant. And yeah if the chimney is used for anything that burns then stay away from it for sure - I wouldn't feel safe about venting into a chimney even above a natural gas furnace.
