I disagree. Freaky sex with some exotic chick is why people will never break off into different species. The airplanes and the boats just facilitate the freaky sex!

Freaky sex or not, mankind is not about to evolve into anything different. The last big evolutionary change for genus Homo was about 60,000 years ago. We are a relatively young species and we are not going off planet to strange environments for a very, very long time, if at all. If it were just 5% more difficult to get into space,we would never had made it. We simply don't have the technology to go outside our solar system and there is not enough impetus here on our planet to encourage evolution. The only possibility is mutation through radiation or genetic malpractice by mad scientists.

I agree pops, and also... Not much natural selection takes place anymore... We nurture our weak, and keep their genes in the pool...

Anyone seen idiocracy?

Actually,if anything, there may be some de-evolving. In olden days, the wealthy ,educated folks had a lot of kids and the poor, uneducated folks didn't,as they couldn't afford it. Today the wealthy educated folks are having fewer kids and the poor uneducated are having more. We have a system that rewards laziness and stupidity by supporting everyone who is too lazy to get an education or a skill or too stupid to get them. They are expanding in the genepool while intelligent, hardworking motivated folks are shrinking in the same genepool. Sooner or late we will run out of upper and middle class people to support the bottom layer and society will erupt in chaos.

Pops--the first baby born in space, on a shuttle, on the moon or on Mars will be the first non -earthling...will happen within 50 years or less i think...

the processes of adaptation, mutation and evolution are a constant, they are occurring now, and every time a living thing procreates successfully...

i admire your pissy attitude tho, i love to talk with old people

I will take it upon myself to start spreading some good genes around. I'll get my baby batter out there!!!
