Everybody lies about their veg time!

if you dont know what the vpd chart is, or how to keep your temps and rh up during veg....

yes, those people just might lie about the time...

otherwise, I sometimes think to myself, how do I slow these fuckers down!

I keep thinking that about my SFV I have vegging right now. It's got crazy stretch and keep getting into the light. I keep topping it and it keeps laughing at me. I was thinking I was going to be hard pressed to have big enough plants to throw in my greenhouse when this round came down but now I see that won't be a problem at all, actually the other way around!

lol ikr. biggest issue i have is plants overgrowing veg while waiting for a slot in flower, don't wanna keep topping i don't like really bushy plants.

@Mr.Bungle i do that with all the pots. i don't like rootbound in flower. i can't be hanging around the house to water multiple times a day. i only have the 2 smart pots. i just grow in those from beginning to end. or transplant into them when small plants and just let em continue till the end.

I haven't tried no time after last transplant, but i have done 2 or 3 days after last... I suspect that some of my strains, particularly the Sativa leaning ones would benefit by rushing into flower.. The Indica ones I think could use extra days of veg... I smell an experiment coming up

anyone can get their cloning down to 98% + feet in a week to ten days consistently (better depending on cultivar)

sterility, hormones, ph, temp and healthy moms

krunhc and a number of people have shown their methodology for the same results

...this is a thing? Why is a 6-8 week veg time bad? I usually buy clones from vendors that are 4-6 weeks old and then give 'em another 4 weeks of veg. It's like doubling your gains for half the work. I feel nothing but pride in taking the proper time for veg.

what is this proper time for veg everyone speaks of?

if i veg a plant for 2 weeks then flower i'll end up with a plant that i can manage. if i veg for 8 weeks then flower i won't even be able to get the plant into my flower box.

whatever time you veg for is the proper amount of time.

It's now how long for me..

It's now how long for me..

For me it's room in the flower room. Right now I have 6 Pineapple Chunk in week 7 of flower. I want to let them go to 8 or 9 weeks. I have 6 Pineapple Chunk growing in one gallon pots, about a foot+ that I will throw in when I harvest.

What's a guy to do? It's very hot this time of year and I'm not running air. I'll be waiting for my fall season

I threw 6 extras outside and they are all in flower (I live in a canyon) and will use them for edibles.

Keep on Keeping on  Peace

I veg for a long time. I Never had a plant vegged up to 87 days finish taller then 8'. I just put in a 4' cherry Cookie was vegged 67 days. Rooting cones can take anywhere from 5-15 days. High Heat is your enemy when rooting. I get my best results between 78-82f. My mist cloner is something I made its not something you can buy.

because of legalities such as plant count having a proper veg is not always reasonable, I veg and flower in the same space and just keep a couple moms and root under flouros

When I was running more than a couple lights plant count was real tight so being able to take cuts and get close to 100% in about week and keeping veg to about 2 weeks made it possible to get close to 5 runs in a year with an 8 week plant and keep plant count low enough I didn't have to sweat it.

There where no collectives, vendors or any communities out there lending a hand or sharing info 25 years ago out by me so you where your own gene depository. I certainly wasn't lax about shit back then if not a bit overly paranoid.

I did a diary of such a grow when I got here, new space, new lights, new nutes, heat issues still got close to a gpw within 8 weeks - 8.5 weeks plus 10 days veg. I rented a space with one room for production (it really was that small) and it seemed the best way to use it at the time.

Really just shows how adaptable the plant is. These days people don't have the same concerns and pressures, growing trees has become a bit of a thing as well.

I would normally lose track of time during the veg period,
it would happen between the 5th-7th week of veg."not knowing the exact week i am at"

Its the complete opposite though when flowering, were i would never lose the track of time..

Not sure what your asking?.

The plants you grew from seed will be the same as the cuts you took from that plant.. You dont need to know the date you popped the seeds if your going to toss the mom.. When you take cuts you date those as soon as there rooted so you can track veg times.

I veg my clones for 6 weeks and most strains are around 23" tall. Got a clone King 36 coming in the mail because I've had it with my bubble cloners! I've gotten roots with em at 9 days, but most of the time it takes 3 weeks....sometimes more. Damn I hope this aero cloner is gonna be better.
