good luck, looks like a good setup.

you mention some grows cut short, I dont know your details but my failures have almost all been from some cantamination eventhough it wasn't obvious how and with a chiller and all, I think that adding beneficials to dwc is a good hedge against that possibility. botanicaire hydroguard is what I used.

NiteTiger,as they say better late....*passes the billy and bowl*
enjoy mate, all the best with your current run.

well freinds now day 8. week 2 veg begins..things should start speeding up from here on.roots have established.well out of the netpots anyway, once they hit the water......:headbange shall be cruzin.

this is my first vertical run plants appear to be growing a bit different.since the lights arent above them rather next to them plant throws out its leafs differently.pretty cool IMO hehe.node spacing hasnt been as tight either, not asure if that better ort not though, i like my ladies tight haha. human kind also :D

PPMs have fell  from 700 to 600 somthing (using truncheon) so nothings precise,so i bumped it up to 860-940. PH 6.2 co2=1200 temps 29C/24C night
RH 70% , water temp 22C

so things rollin well.now remmeber folks these are un sexed , so wish me luck.
i want at least 1 male., but id be happy with 4 out of 4 ladies.then just pick the best pheno. i dont even wanna think about 4/4 males haha. done it now :bat:

Hello eulogy, the early growth looks great as always. Quit teasing us and finish a grow so we can fully appreciate your skills. :yoinks: heheh

Kidding of course. Can't wait to seem em bud up.

I need to bite the bullet and order a hydrofogger or something...I'm probably loosing out on 1/3 of the plants potential. Its a miserable 25% RH. ouch.

anyway bro, keep up the good work.

peace, mp

Hiya mpro
Why not go to the drugstore and get a cheap low tech heated vaporizer - ya know like in the old days ( btw, I know most folks prefer the cold vapor, I've run both and find the hot steam works better ). It's not enough heat to make a difference in a vented room, but it sure helps. When it's 25-30% around here sometimes I have to use a 2nd "cool" temp vaporizer to keep RH close to 50. But the heated one will bring it up into the 40s range no problem. Did I mention that it's cheap... :pointlaug I just love low tech.....

thanks for the tip mgj. I actually have a cool mist humidifier and also one of those vicks vapor things, which might be the warm mis thing your talking about.

I need to pick up a filter for the humidifier first, and the vicks thing, its tubes are covered in calcium. need to look up what removes it. with those two I can bump up the RH in there for sure.

mpro - one cup of clear vinegar per quart of warm/hot water and soak / rinse out the humidifier a few times until the crusties are gone. Works with coffee makers too ( that's where I got the recipe )...

Stoned2Death, hey mate, ya there looking ok ATM,been drinking up the nutes which is good,(ppms falling)and i agree very sativa dom  . all is well so far. lets hope it continues.

mpro, a worthy investment mate, i spenty close to 200 bucks on this cool vapor thing., did nothing, the A/C was too strong. thats what i fear would happen if you tried a similar with two or even more similar humidifers, and there small res's suck...they just cant do what the big fogger can. IMO just bite lol... up side is i can use the smaller one for my cab...
:lurk:

Mr GreenJeans, great tip for tye cleaning , you rekon i could clean my bulbs that way hehe, there covered in it too. a pre filter is whats needed in my situation. as i said running RO just isnt an option...

Gardenstated, thanks for looking enjoy the show mate

well guys went in today and there looking a bit over watered ie saggy...im afraid this would happen., it has a much longer drop to make it into the water from my last buckets.,the roots that is (buckets are much bigger). so ive adjusted the recircs pump cycle, 15 mins on 15 off during lights on, any less and the temps would soar, then none during lights off, since the roots havent yet reached the water it shouldnt be a problem, if anything this might speed up the plants will to drop the roots faster..i hope.

also hit em with neem. just incase.,.seen a phew spider mites last run, just wanna make sure..ill also be hitiing them with ALOT of CO2 (around 10,000 PPMS) for an hour just to make sure just before flower.raised the PPMs aswell., up too 1500..they just kept dropping, so just incase it was underfert..im sure it was over watering though. any ideas?? please chime in

keep em green

Yup, I think you hit it with airstones. Color still looks good...no underfert. Do the buckets have airstones?

EDIT: What was I thinking? I meant to say I think you hit it with the oxygen issue....duh! :bat:

DAMN im such an idiot....

yep yep, added a 60Ltr/min pump to the res,(spa bath) also realisied the water temps were a bit higher, these past phew days have been killers, nearly 40C if not higher..water temps reached 24C. dropped the chillers setting to 18C , (was on 20) just to stop that happening.that with the added DO willl help. changed back the watering cycles back to 24/7, knew i should have put one in the first place...see how they respond..should see within a day or less.,.

thanks guys....think simple. basics errr hahah...

Warmer water has dramaticly lower holding capacity of 02 than colder water if anyone didnt know, somthing I learned as somone who likes to fish for trout. I like DWC by nature so this should be fun to watch!

Yeah - I have lotta goodies in my water and have to clean out the coffee pot a few times a year or it looks like I washed them in the Great Salt Lake :pointlaug Funny - the coffee pot operations manual had the best advice on this one - ya never know where knowledge will come from...

Good diagnostics on your situation - other than a little droop they're looking good, I hate temperature problems, it's always the last thing I think of :bat:

No doubt they'll bounce back with a roar.... :joint:
