Oh, its been a few, as said - really rank it HIGH

Ethiopian Ace x Congo
Ethiopian x Flo f2
Ethiopian x Durban dp
Ethiopian x Calizahr
Ethiopian x (Ethiopian x Congo) Backcross

next one will be
Ethiopian x Maui Waui

Those sativa crosses sounds very interesting @SunnyListon :) go ahead!
An Up-feeling and no crash later - its very hard to discribe. A kind of more natural high, then the dutch stuff.

Glad you found our Ethiopian sativa interesting enough to become a building block in your breeding projects. I couldn't describe her qualities better :) + THCV potential!

No, its still in the fridge, lol. Gonna check them out this year.
Flo x Ethiopian sounds right up my alley looking forward to seeing you grown it out and giving it a test drive.
Now just buy seeds for males, and got five to seven in the waiting line, lol.

One thing I learned is: The older you get, the more you want seeds from your first years, lol.

So, if you start now - have this in mind
Yeah I’ve noticed that correlation too mate ;)

What did you think of the flo you grew out? Did you f2 and/or keep mums?

It was Ethiopian x Flo. Ethio was the mother.

The Flo F2 had many very different phenos, so lots of work to go through.
Had some nice specimens found but not all where good. There where bad ones in there too. But you may find them great. Problem is, when got a fog next day, its not good for me and will go to the trash.

And it did have really some strong psychoactivity, for which there is no time here at the moment.

As you may know, Flo is very very hard to clone, so I lost my favourite and moved on for now.

Thanks for the reply I sent you a PM so as not to derail the thread to much :)

Ja @dubi Malawi kenne ich gut!
Also die Erfahrung :>

I did a Bluberry x Nigerian F1 more than 20 years ago and liked it a lot how the classic traits of DJ's genepool combined with a very divergent, long flowering African sativa, interesting field for sure.

A new pure ethiopian sativa landrace is available at our website.

http://www.aceseeds.org/en/brands/ace-seeds/etiopestd.html

The ethiopian is a pure subtropical classic african sativa, of great value and interest for pure sativa lovers and for preservationists.

It produces a classic african sativa phenotype: tall, vigorous, flexible, strongly branched plants with long node length.

Excellent resistance against moisture, molds, wind and heat.

The long flowering time is compensated by an excellent final yield (when is properly cultivated with strong light intensity and warm temperatures), and for its mental effect of great quality, highly appreciated by sativa lovers looking for the more active, sociable, kind and positive effects, always well focused, and without producing paranoia, mental or body heaviness.

Earthy and woody african sativa aromas, with floral, musky and fermented citrus touches.

Type: LANDRACE STRAIN (P3)
Format: Standard
Sativa / Indica ratio: 100 % sativa
THC: 8-12%
CBD: Below 1 %
Flowering indoors: 13-14 weeks
Flowering outdoors:3rd week of November
Yield: High
Resistance against spider mites: Average-High
Resistance against powder mildew: High
Resistance against botrytis: Very high
Resistance against white fly: Average-High
Resistance against cold: Average-High
Resistance against heat: High
Latitude: 0º-40º

Genetics: 3rd generation pure Ethiopian sativa.
Structure: Tropical sativa structure, strong, vigorous, of strong branching and long node length.
Bouquet: Earthy and woody african sativa aromas, with floral, musky and fermented citrus touches.
High: Classic african sativa effect: clean, mental, uplifting and positive, of medium strength. It leaves you happy and light, with a big smile on the face. Without mental or body heaviness. Perfect for day time smoke and for activities.

Growing Tips:

It can be grown indoors with strong light intensity and with enough space for its development.

We recommend to switch her into flowering after 15 days from seed, or starting from clones rooted for at least 7 days.

We recommend 11 (light) / 13 (darkness) photoperiod for the flowering indoors, in order to boost the flowering, and to avoid reflowerings or excessive stretching in early flowering.

Outdoors, Ethiopian needs a tropical/subtropical climate or a warm coastal climate similar to Mediterranean to mature correctly.

We recommend soft NPK levels in the growing stage, increasing PK from 3rd week of flowering.

When Ethiopian is properly grown, the yield is very high, both indoors and outdoors.

Interesting sativa to develop sativa hybrids of huge vigor and yield, with clean and energetic effects.
I just got a pack of these along with a pack of Honduras, and am really stoked about seeing what I get from each one. Planning on starting 11/13 from seed / solo-cups in order to minimize their stretch, and once they indicate, transplant to 1g air pots and place them in a little green house-type environment where they can flower under natural sunlight while being protected from the temperatures. I wonder if they would finish by X-Mas in 37N? 🤔

Keep in mind the feed for the Ethiopians will be lighter then your honduras. I just did 3 runs of these side by side.

My grows have been posted on this thread and the honduras thread besides the pre chop photos from last time I believe. Ethiopian grows very lateral branching like other African strains when topped. There buds are more ball shaped clusters and are very sensitive to nutes, so go light.
The most nute sensitive one I’ve ran is the Nepal Annapurna now that thing was supperrr sensitive. 😱
The honduras is more classic Christmas tree shaped and can take more stress as in pinching and topping. And can handle nutrients better then the Ethiopian though still a sensitive plant I fed her as much as the Violeta would take and it did ok. Honduras is denser depending on the pheno. Loved both, ethiopian is like a chill coffee clear headed not there most energetic as like Thais. the honduras is like a super relaxing dreamy happy cheeky feel, but not to functional for me. Can’t really get myself going with the day with it as far as day to day tasks but a walk is great, and is my go to for anxiety relief.
