beastie boys were fun, but they sounded like white boys doing something that was not for or from them.(though they got a couple cool tunes.) and sorry third base, but while you get the "old school" respect, you looked even sillier doing your thing.
then dre and snoop came out with rap that even white metal heads like myself couldnt resist.
my point-eminem wrote and rapped songs that sounded RIGHT coming from a white perspective. best thing ever happened to him was living in a trailer near a ghetto! the only reason i gave him a listen was the gay population(a segment thereof anyway) was making such a stink over him, i had to see what they were talking about. and i liked his music.
