Emerald Cup 2014 questions

I know right now in the middle of the season this isn't on most peoples minds, but what can I say, I'm a planner. :)

I was getting ready to buy my plane tickets, etc, and wanted to get a little feedback before I did.

I will be flying out of Denver, and was going to go to San Francisco first for a day or two. We were then going to drive up to the cup on Saturday morning.

Google Maps is showing possibly up to a 2 hour drive with traffic. My main goal is to procure seeds, and possibly clones. I will also be in search of more organic growing knowledge. The knowledge being more important than the genetics.

Being this will be my first visit I wanted to get some input from people that have experience. With my goals in mind I would appreciate any and all input.

Hotels, restaurants, places to steer clear of, etc....

I live in Sonoma County and am planning to go to the cup. How can I help?

San Francisco to Santa Rosa is a sixty mile drive. Can be slow getting out of the city. There is no toll northbound across Golden Gate, but there is coming back through. There is not any major construction right now, don't know about december. Going through Petaluma it goes down to two lanes can be a little sluggish, but enjoy the landscape.

Let me know if you're still coming and I can offer some suggestions for what you're looking for and some of my favorite spots.

I'm headed there and plan to enter.

If you are visiting out of town you should go wine tasting. Lots of wineries north of Santa Rosa. If you want to eat world class food look into healdsburg about 20 min north of SR. You can visit bodega bay and see the coast. It might be crab season if you like fresh seafood.

Rec. crab fishing started the first of the month.

I'd skip healdsburg though, it ain't for everyone.

If your Positive your coming I'd Reserve a Room Asap. There will be a lot of folks moving over that way to be there, this year they expect 300+ organic flower entrees alone so it might be difficult if you plan to stay in Santa Rosa.. I've made every HTCC out in Cali for the past 4 years and pre reserve my room cause It sometimes gets full if you wait till last min. Idk about you, but I try to stay away from Janky rooms(Bed Bugs! smh), had bad experience.

Does anyone know what kinds of booths and sections will be open to people without med cards?

The only section or booth you'd be able to access with out a med card will be the food section that might have a little bit of cloths vendors off to the side.

Does anyone know if the area that the music will be in is indoor or out?

My guess would be that the music would be indoor as that's where they set it up during the last High Times cup. I should be there Sunday. Hope to see a few people there. I'll have some nice Chem D 70u to smoke with people I may run into. I may also be giving out some free seeds of my (Tangerine Diesel x Plushberry) #4 x (Blue Dream x Williams Wonder) to anyone who may be interested.
