When you take the tub cover off the breaker box, you will be able to see the romex wires coming in from the studs above. They will have drilled holes right through the stud for the wire to pass through to the box. One lead will go to the breaker itself, one to the common strip, and the green to the ground strip.
The other receptacle end will be brought into the other room the same way it was to the breaker panel. Go into the attic and you can see how they run romex.
