ordered the titan 5.

do i just need this?

the diagram for the titan 5 doesn't show a wire connected for the ground.
does that mean it's optional?
i assume i just connect all 4 wires from the dryer into the controller

No, the ground is not optional, they just aren't showing it hooked up for some reason. That cord link may be the right one, but they don't call out which plug it is and the specs only say 250v - they should say 125/250v. It's possibly the right one since it says that it has 4 wires, if the plug fits it should be fine. If not, see below.
