Nice round!
Are you going to keep using the vertical bulb or just stick with the upper lighting?

i'm curious about your verdict on the vert bulb as well.

I'm not sure about the vertical bulb yet. I mean: after changing setup a lot of problems (yellowing) appeared, but i'm not sure was only because of the vertical bulb... For sure i'm going to give another try in the future with photo plants trained in a specific way. Also, I bought a luxmeter and I’m taking some measures soon. I hope data help for understanding better how to optimize the setup and i hope you help me as well guys. About this run, a part the problems, i'm making a judgment after checking dry weight. I've spent 30% less time than usual, so 2/3 of my average yield (approx. 40 g then) will be the line between the good and the bad. For the next run i'm going with 2 more Mephisto autos: SODK (Sour orange diesel kush) and SOUR BUBBLY (freebie). Both seems to grow bigger and longer. Maybe i'm going vertical again during the flowering or maybe not.. i reserve me this decision for later.

So I've finished to chop everything at 70 days from sprout. Dry weight: SOUR CRACK 24 g - SOUR STOMPER 22 g So as told before, i can say that this run was a good one. I got a luxmeter and during next run i'm going to use the regular setup (no vertical). I want to make some measurement and try to maximize the efficiency of my light fixture. Since SOUR BUBBLY did not sprout, i decided to grow SODK alone into a bigger pot (my 18 L smart pot). Breeders say that this strain can grow big, so i'm planning to LST for sure and maybe top the plant.

Love the colors on those fan leaves and the big swollen calyxes along the stem! Those buds are really nice and resiny!

Looking forward to this round.

Thanks Blynx! Big swollen calyxes along the stems was a common trait on both plants.

This is my lovely SODK at 22 days. She liked the bigger pot and the light training i did. First signs of flowering appeared yesterday and i decided top the plant. I'm checking light intensity with my brand new lux meter. I have 15 Klux at the top of the plant. In theory is the minimum in the range for vegetative stage/early flowering, but i can barely see a Mg deficiency on the leaves and i don't want to overact. Gave some foliar Epson salt.

:dance013:

it'd be great if more guys posted this accessible measurement and posted corresponding pics, esp if we chose to grow a common plant and dial it in. :smoke:

Measurement you want, then measurement you get!! I don't guarantee that i'm doing this in a scientific way, even if it could be a good idea. In any case i will try to justify the 20 Euros i've invested on the luxmeter. After taking the picture, i've centered better the light fixture. I've noticed that was slighly on the right side looking at the measures. Useful LOL

hey tiger

you considered dropping a warm cfl down the center instead of that corncob LED? the plants could get pretty close without much trouble. not terribly sexy or efficient, but......

you could also use a cool one nice and low by the stem(s) to help with stretch

nice job man, also thanks for the pics!

Hi, no more CFL lamps for me. In the future if i want to go vertical again, i could consider buying a smaller corn style led (10 w??) and use it "like a dimmer" for stressing less plants. My 14 was too much this time, i guess.

SODK responds well to training and topping as advised by the breeders. Let's see if she grow big as well, as they say . 21.000 LUX at the top of the canopy.
