El Bandito Rides Again

I think Sac "city" lets you have them in a greenhouse if they are not visible and the smell is abated. Sac County I think outdoor is still OK. I'm in Placer county which hasn't really addressed the subject as far as I can tell. Cities within Placer county like Roseville and Rocklin have banned outdoor and in Rocklins case, also regulated indoor.

cool, I mean I'd be doing it anyway... it seems like BS over regulation.

I wonder if people in placer county do grow their outdoor what would happen? will they get charged like they weren't a medical patient... what if someone can't afford to grow indoors or pay for real medical quality? government is fucked up!

Yeah, I been growing outdoors in Placer county since the early 90s... I tried to hide them back then. not real successfully... but now I have my card so I feel comfortable. AFAIK, its legal to grow outdoors in Placer per 215/420.. Sheriff helicopter has checked my garden a few times over the last decade, no visits. Im right by an airport that the oinkers come into very often so they fly by without a wink almost daily.
El Bandito, hope you dont mind the sidetrack bro :rasta:

Heck no Smoke Buddy. Bienvenidos, neighbor!

I do live in Roseville, so technically my grow is in violation of a city ordinance that was passed late last year, banning all outdoor growing. Indoor is allowed.

The city passed the ordinance because it got out of hand in some neighborhoods and the smell in those areas got pretty bad. If someone complains about your grow, air pollution code enforcement bureaucrats will serve you with an order to move the plants. Non compliance can result in a $500 fine for each day after you are notified.

So... I grew in this greenhouse last year with no issues. I have a big private yard, dogs, and our neighbors love us. I don't anticipate any issues, based on the assumption that the authorities will only react if there are complaints about the smell. If they use the bullshit ordinance to justify flying police helicopters to look for plants, that would be pretty shady. Worst case, I move them. Biggest pots are only 25 gallons.

It's gonna be a great year here in Placer County. Stay cool guys :)

I vote for a larger greenhouse...

Actually it might be time to start a light dep. tarp, couple fans and stay home for the next 8 weeks + harvest...

The thought of light dep had crossed my mind. I am concerned about it getting too hot when I pull the tarp over it. We have lots of days well over 100 degrees left. Decisions decisions . I am running low on buds too. If I pulled the trigger now I would have better quality flowers. One less month of them baking in the sun.

Hmmmm.......

I'd check out the patterns of light and shade in the yard. perhaps you can put the tent in a spot where it is shaded by the house in the morning or eve so you minimize the time spent in "lights out" with direct sun hitting it. maybe trees or a fence could help.

good air flow while it's covered should mitigate the morning and evening sun.

also the sun is stronger in august when they would be finishing.

I've heard light depp produces better quality buds because they are flowering under the summer sun which has more intense spectrums of light hitting the earths surface which catalyzes resin and THC production...

but the added heat..

as chunky pigs said tarp during the mornings and evenings if possible and the temps might not be much of an issue

id move it to a spot where you got shade around 530 pm, then cover then , uncover around 10 at night, 30 days of pull, rest of the time no need to pull it. keep it green. you can make a pretty affordable dep with 20' pvc some rebar, a roll of guerilla tape, and some panda film.

if you try and dep that little gh it will get overgrown, let them stretch their legs a bit, they will reward you big time.

That would be the ideal way to do it, theJointedOne. I was wondering if I could figure out a way to only light dep temporarily, and you answered my question before I could ask it.

At the end of the day, I don't think I can be consistent enough, even for just 30 days. I have a trip planned in July and don't feel comfortable getting someone else involved just to tarp and untarp my plants when I am gone. Maybe I can set up a couple of them at a friend's house to try flowering early. Lord knows I need some space in that greenhouse! Hoping a few males will start showing soon I can have some more space.

My biggest plant looks to be a female! (SSK). It's the monster looming in the background. I have named her Brienne. My dog ate half of her when she was young and now she is branchy as f@ck and pretty angry too.

Gorgeous damn ganja up in here. I am praying I can see them through. Peace y'all.

It has now been exactly a month since I moved my clones and starts outside. allow me visually recap this four weeks. Sorry I keep reposting pics but the growth rate always amazes me.

your gonna need a bigger greenhouse!

they might not have much longer before flowering though... and they shouldn't stretch to much... or at least you better hope not! lol

just something to think about... defoliation decreases vertical growth and redirects energy to the growing branches and bud sites that subsequently receive more light... which in turn leads to a heavier yield while keeping the plant shorter and more compact.

looks great either way and your gonna have one helluva stash
