Economy seeds. the good, the bad and the ugly

Nirvana use to be ok a long time ago; but my last experience with it, will the Northern Lights x Big Bud didn't actually grow buds. The biggest most vigorous plant with big leaves, but it refused to grow buds. I gave it a good chance, left them there until the rest were halfway through flowering, but still not buds appeared.

And the other ones, they seemed quite weak and feeble plants.

I don't think Nirvana actually breeds seeds themselves, I think they are just a company who buys seeds off closet pollen chuckers and sells them under their label.

I would say go for KC Brains; comparable prices and at least there is a face to the company, not like anonymous Nirvana.

That's certainly contrary to my own experience. Of the several strains I've grown over the last 3 years their royal flush is my favorite so far. It's why I'm now growing one of the parent strains, Eldorado, & why I may grow the other, Jock Horror.

The rest of what you offer is derogatory speculation.

Great to see everyone!!!:tiphat:

Maybe I should get sick more often. LOL I lay out for a week and everyone covered me down. Much appreciated!!!

Thanks to all the contributors.

@oti$, Great call brother can wait to see them!!!!

@ Bob Green. Thank for the props brother. Jump on in. Plenty of room for everyone.

@kangrowru No brother haven't had the privilege of running any of there gear. If you have I would love to hear about it. I'm always ready to add something new to the seed vault.!!

@ sprinkle Brother you killed those Moroc's!!!! Female seeds has some decent gear for sure. I had pretty good luck with there Ice Princess back in the day!!

@Jhhnn Looking good brother. The Eldorado has really filled in nicely. Goat Wreck is coming on as well. I was wondering how she was going to do after the big stretch.

@ Mick. Hell yeah!!! That B52 is a looker. Brother Useful is a fan of the B52. Nirvana definitely has some fire in them there cheap seeds.

@ ReturnOfNog Sorry to hear about your experience with the Big Bud cross. Both NL and the BB have always been pretty stable, big yielders for me. HMMMMM We may have to research this one. I doubt its closet pollen chuckers doing there work.

@aridbud Good call brother. Yeah I wouldn't think Nirvana is getting the bulk of there beans from anything less than reputable breeders. Wouldn't surprise me if some may be outsourced but not from just any old hack. More likely from one of the well established Spanish breeders filling the demand for common strains. Its all good. I don't care where they get them. There are still some gorgeous plants in there gear if your willing to look for them!!

Thanks again for everyone contributing. Mean a lot.

Peace
GT

True to what Jhhnn said, Nirvana has some great strains.

Love Nirvana's Jock Horror Auto, Bubbleicious & used Short Stuff as component in breeding. All top notch. another friend totally satisfied of Rhino from, Nirvana . A friend on ICMag grew out AK 48 with great results.

To each their own in preference.

I really haven't had problems using cash, but I'm picky about seedbanks, too. Hemp Depot, Growshop Alien & the 'Bou have all come through for me. I keep orders under $200 to limit losses, too.

I figure anything under $50 is low price, Under $80 mid range & then the rest as high priced above that. From all reports, Ace & Cannabiogen gear is worth the slight price premium. dunno for sure.

I have grown lots of Ace seeds. They are great

I have grown Nirvana's AK48 and it was great. Excellent taste and potency, and the high was really an up high, moreso than 9/10 so called sativa dominant hybrids I've grown.
It was my first grow and it's been on my to-do (again) list ever since.
Other part of that first grow were autoflowers that refused to autoflower outdoor so I moved them inside and 12/12. It most likely was my fault though. I don't think plants can start flowering if you keep topping them...

No, topping them negates the ruderalis genes to finish...that's for sure.

Topping autoflowers is generally regarded as counter productive. Just let 'em grow.

Some awesome pics in here fellas! Very impressive. I currently have 3 Nirvana Blue Mystic and a fem Elemental Seeds Trueberry in veg. No pictures yet as I need to get a new camera. I am vegging them under a 4ft dual bulb flouro and 2 55w cfl's currently. Once they are bigger I will clone them and toss the originals under a 250W HPS. Depending on how they turn out will decide who gets to stay and who gets the toss. My last few grows haven't gone a well as I had hoped, mostly due to temperature issues with the 250HPS but I have a larger grow area now. About 12 years ago I grew out a couple of Blue Mytics that were amazing. One smelled of straight blueberries and the other was predominately skunky. I wish I still had that blueberry Blue Mystic.

I will try and post pics when I get another camera. Keep the show going!

This is one stellar lady!! The pics do not do her justice. She is starting to reek overriding any and everything around her. Smell is almost indescribable. Super frost and dense as hell. If she smokes half as well as she looks she will be a permanent fixture in my garden.

Thanks Brother!!!! She is amazing!!!:tiphat:

Last week cont.

Last week cont.

Last shot of the GT.

MMJ's Purple Urkle X Skywalker OG day 54

Nice plant. Not a single thing to complain about. Moderate yield of dense nugs. moderate Og funk, earthy, woody, kind of thing. Easy grow.

All righty then. That catches us up from last week. The GTs hit day 63 today. Fading fast, seeds are ripening off as they finish up. Planned chop day will be day 70 if not sooner.

Ill have yall a few new shots in the next day as we finish these up and move on to some mega cuts from a very Useful friend.

Peace
