Lucky U, that's not it but, that is the more popular thread. Same concept. There's one with Lowes Super Tubs, they are larger then that, just the right size for my cabinet! Close to 3 feet x 2 feet. I don't have a shot of the cabinet without anything in it but this should give you a better idea. These do bow in the center if they are not supported, that masonary tub in that thread doesn't, something to consider depending on your set up.
I guess I'm off track here but it seems like it's pretty complicated and risky to me. If you don't want to deal with Hydrotron why not use 6 inch rockwool cubes on a table. Why are you so stuck on the buckets?
Murphy, dont get me wrong ebb and flow is without a doubt the system of my choice. Its one of the most forgiving systems out. I'm stuck on buckets for the simply reason of stealth and safety. The houses around here do not have garages attached and hauling in 4x8 trays, n such absolutely terrifies me. Plant numbers also get out of control when using tables as you are forced to grow in pots sub 7" tall with most trays which = sog = jail. lol I really like the idea of ebb and flowing some bushes instead.
HAPS - your awesome. I dont know how you do that, and thanks for explainin as much as you did. I'm going to have to try it when I get some experimentation space.
What are your res temps like..or should I say what is the highest they've gotten in your mediumless ebb and flow system without any issues?
It works just fine, here is a half pounder in a 5 inch net pot. I flood, drain one hour later, and repeat every four hours for ten weeks, which ironically is 420 cycles!
