This will only work if you have your room empty for awhile. I did it for 3 or 4 weeks and the room was completely bug free at the end of that time. Imo, mites need 3 things to survive; light, warmth and a food source. So the idea is that you give them light and warmth but no food and they will eventually all die. Eggs can lie dormant for months in the dark, so I hung a 75 watt globe in the middle of the room that was on 24/7, after first giving the room a good clean. So the eggs hatch out but there's nothing to eat, so the mites die, and any eggs they laid before they died will hatch and die, and so on until there's none left. If the room's very cold then a heat source would probably help. I only did this once as I don't grow indoors anymore, but it worked that time I did it. Then you've just got to be careful you don't reinfect the grow space, like changing into clean clothes every-time you enter, having a container of bleach to step your shoes in, wearing a clean beanie, watering with neem once week, etc.
