Thanks Highcountry :)

PehkuThyphoons are growing well and today we found the first male this year, we left it this time but if it doesn't grow much bigger then we'll probably kill it. A few weird tops, 1 plant was broken and 1 was dead:

That looks great. The male is a cutie. Do you think it'll reveg?

About how many plants do you usually have per spot? And what are the temperatures like down there in Denmark? I also wonder about the soil you're using. Do you amend the soil, bring in soil or use native soil?

Thanks Hortic, I don't think it will reveg but it might not get so big, if we remove it depends on the other males :) It's very different how many plants we have per spot, this year it's between 10 and 50 or so, previous year we have had spots with more than that though but then the plants stood very close together ;-) Right now temps are nice, about 20 C at daytime and 10 C or so at night, it's been a good combination of rain, sun and warmth during this week. We use the native soil and add some lime and cow manure pellets, on a couple of spots we have also used Leca and mushroom compost.

PehkuNepal are looking great we think, there was hardly any damaged plants, they are growing well and not much to do for us, we just took some pics and threw a little snail poison:

Thanks for answering my question. It must be nice to be able to use the native soil.

I forgot to ask how you pollinate the females, btw. Do you do an open pollination by several males, or do you select one that gets to live and pollinate freely? I plan on making a few seeds this year and I'm wondering how I should do it. Do you ever harvest pollen and pollinate with a brush? I think I'm going to have to do that, is it hard to do?

Beautiful pictures as always. I regret that I haven't planted anything yet, now that we're having this great weather. I'll be lucky to have plants that size in a months time.

All the best to you and Tanska. :tiphat:

We let many males grow so it's a kind of polygamy grow. Pollinating with a brush should work just fine and isn't hard to do, the hard part is storing the pollen but I don't know much about that ;-)

PehkuNepals are about 7 weeks old :)

looks nice dyr. look forward to see the cross with Jack H.

Are you used to see slower germination on directly sowing outside? it was 3 weeks since i sowed after i checked them again. I only saw a few sprouts after a looot of seeds. Sowed to deep maybe? hmm...rained a lot here... ACtually some damage on roads and railroads of all the rain..

Pehkuruder, pekinpehku & ovela ratsastaja is killer strains in finland, and baticket is killer grower. Interesting to see how they grow in your hands at denmark.
I grow pekinpehku 2011 in lapland and get ready at september and very good yield and nice outdoor sativa dominant weed. Little bit of mold but weather was rainy.

Thanks fellas :)

Yes Henrik, it's normal with slower germination when you sow directly outdoors but I think 3 weeks should be enough maybe next time you visit they have germed :) sowing too deep is of course not good ;-) Nice black and compost rich soil is best imho.

Thyphoon x Jack Herer today, it's looking pretty good here:

On the Ovela Ratsastaja spot we have had lots of snail damage and that has set some of them back I think, so they are smaller than they normally would be:

Thanks :)

Thyphoon spot today, looking decent here, 2 fine males and 1 with a few female signs.

We met a baby deer on the way, very cute :-D it was squeeling for it's mother, Snails are much worse though ;-)

Too many snails on the Ovela Ratsastaja spot, we will not bother with it anymore except when we visit it around harvest time just in case.

Chesus, those snails really took a liking to those Ovelas. That's a shame. The Thyphoon x JH spot looks nice though.
